Easter egg hunt

Rather than opening more oil refineries, how about we get more EVs, more charging stations, more renewables, maybe even a super fast train or two.

Let’s stop planning a future that includes fossil fuels.

NEU war (?).

2 weeks ago 1 0 0 0

It’s the ecm agenda, all behaviour is unmet needs, behaviour is relationships vs zero tolerance.
When members are assaulted (kicked 20 times?) there has to be a balance. The NEU behaviour guidance has to protect pupils and staff. When the line is crossed we must protect members

Delegates at #NEU2026 voted to fight for fair pensions for all. Members from across the country spoke out against pension injustice.

Millions of ordinary workers have lost thousands of pounds they were owed by the government.

Money they paid into their pensions.

Lack of values. Not knowing what he stands for.
Voted in as people had enough of the Torys.
Not being left enough / right enough.
Presiding over a divided country and hostile press.

Will I’ve read your post. So I’ve seen it?

Made a start 👍

And thank you for being civil.

I like loads that Corbyn stands for, I just wish it wasn’t mixed in with some (for me) deeply unpalatable views.

I’ll always remember his reaction to the Salisbury poisonings or Crimea invasion - pro Russia. Delay. Ask for UN.

Compared to Isreal doing a thing.

I can see it fracturing the left vote.

You will now have Labour / Green / Corbyn.

Green and Corbyn won’t win apart from a few outlying seats.

Tory vote has collapsed.

I fear that Farage will walk in. The hard right anti immigration / anti green / pro Trump.

That’s a big ol’ leap.

Jeremy Corbyn - not a fan. Bit cultish.

You! You support genocide! Cry more! He’ll win.

Yeah. Well. Have fun.

I think there’s a case for that.

I also think the Greens working want him in the tent.

He’s like Farage in that sense. If you invite him in you know what he stands for. He’s very definite on that. He won’t bend to your party or your rules.

It’s the Trumpian era of personality politics.

I’ve just stumbled across this reply - a nuanced argument that made me think. 👍

I don’t like Corbyn. I found him weak on Russia (Salisbury), awful during Brexit and ambiguous on anti Semitism.

Starmer is light blue. He’s in charge of a Labour Party that got the vote by not being Tory.

Nothing like a bit of ad hominem….

Thinking about it, why didn’t he defect to the Greens? They align with just about every policy he’s advocating.

I assume he wants to be in charge? Or the Greens want to keep their identity?

For those who want nuance and avoid ad hominem …

Worth reading the article.

Pro…. Palestine
Immigration
Unions
Climate lobby
Benefit (removal two child cap)
Unfunded.

The trouble is he failed. Twice. I can only see this fracturing the left vote, emboldening Farage etc.

He’ll get some votes

So the electorate is anti inside Labour ? Ok…
We’re all in on it.

8 months ago 0 0 0 0

Yes. That.
Why he didn’t just join the Greens I don’t know.
Unless it’s something to do with Russian sympathies and a protest against Israel? Pro immigration?
Corbyn is a nightmare who fractured the Labour vote last time but somehow attracts a cultish following.

Eek. I hope things improve.
I also hope that China cuts back on its dash for coal.

Today, Chancellor Rachel Reeves announced her funding plans for schools through to 2029.

And thanks to you -- we won back billions for schools.

There's a long way to go. But today, we're celebrating a win for schools.

And…my internet posting isn’t being monitored.

But if I said something, as a random example, borderline racist or indeed outright racist / homophobic or intolerant I’d be called out, blocked and potentially banned.

Unless I’m on X.

Which, thank goodness, I’m not.

Chin chin.

Broadcast…in Britain.

I like the UK. It has free speech.

I can say things like “you’re a waste of space who lasted less time than a lettuce “ and no one will arrest me.

Chinese leader = Winnie the Poo
Tiananmen square!
I stand with Taiwan!
Boo to bombing children.

No. No one’s arrested me.
