Yesterday I had the chance to join a scam prevention event hosted by the PA Alliance for Retired Americans, the retiree wing of the PA AFL-CIO, to discuss scams my office sees and how folks can protect themselves from getting ripped off.
Always great to see Rep. Frankel and Rep. Benham too!
Last week I was honored to verify the signed cards for employees unionizing with IBEW Local 29. Every American has the fundamental right to collectively bargain for better wages and safer workplaces, so I’m proud to have been a part of these new union workers exercise their right to join a union!
The nearly 300-foot bridge has been closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic since Feb 2022 after an inspection determined it was no longer safe. The closure has been an ongoing concern for residents, impacting access to key destinations, and this project represents real progress.
Last week, I joined federal, state, and local leaders at the closed Versailles Avenue Viaduct in McKeesport to announce a $14.75 million investment to replace it and restore a critical connection for thousands of residents and commuters.
Absolutely not - I've been working to ban dynamic pricing on essential goods because I am worried about these big box stores like Walmart using new technology to destroy small businesses and raise prices on everyone. We have to draw the line and stop this price gouging before it starts.
"Just last week, Walmart earned yet another patent related to retail pricing. This latest patent was secured to protect its usage of machine learning to predict consumer demand and propose prices for products."

Wishing everyone celebrating today a very happy Easter!
Happy home opener to our @pirates.com! I've loved seeing the team honor our steelmaking heritage with their home run celebration--featuring a welding mask used at West Mifflin's Irvin Plant. Shout out to everyone at the Pirates and USW for making this happen. Go Bucs!
Passover begins this evening. Chag Pesach Sameach to our Jewish friends and neighbors celebrating!
Policies like the Working Pennsylvanians Tax Credit that I’ve fought for with @governor.pa.gov and @lgaustindavis.bsky.social are putting money back in the pockets of the people who most need it. We’re working to make life more affordable and strengthen the economy in the Mon Valley and across PA.

This week, I was joined by Pitt student Omar Zenati, who spent a day shadowing me. Omar had the chance to sit in during meetings, learn more about the legislative process, and experience our beautiful Capitol for the first time. Omar will be interning in Harrisburg at a state agency this summer.
This week, the State House unanimously passed legislation I worked with Rep. Markosek, Sen. Brown, and Sen. Bartolotta to introduce to create accountability and transparency in PA’s pet cremation industry. I look forward to moving this legislation forward in the Senate. Read more: buff.ly/S7EfWCV
"'Losing a pet is heartbreaking, and families deserve honesty and compassion throughout the entire process,' Pisciottano said. 'These commonsense reforms will help ensure that pet cremation services meet basic ethical standards and that bad actors are held accountable.'"
Stopped by Braddock Carnegie Library for their annual chili cook-off this afternoon. The newly-renovated event space where the original indoor pool was located looks great!

Congratulations to Penn State Greater Allegheny, which is the only PSU campus that offers a bachelor's degree in social work. Social workers provide vital services to our community. We're lucky to have PSUGA connecting local students to high demand careers helping our neighbors.
