Why are strollers, used by 100% of babies, constantly overlooked in this conversation? I have helped take care of three infant grandchildren who live in NYC and let me tell you, a building or subway stop without an elevator is a living nightmare when you’re pushing a stroller.

This is true in rougly the same sense that a guy on the subway reeking of urine, screaming, and waving a knife around is “feared.”
One day in the future, this is going to hang on the wall of a museum exhibit people visit in silence.
There’s a lot to investigate and report on from today’s stunning deposition of Les Wexner. But here’s something I can’t get over.
I asked Mr. Wexner if the DOJ or FBI ever contacted him to ask him about Epstein and his crimes. He said NO. That’s outrageous and unforgivable.

"excuse me sir, there must be some mistake- i voted to create the camps, not live in the zone of interest" is like every trump voter
My numerous English-Scotts(sic)-Irish ancestors settled the South. I’ve seen a lot of their wills and every one mentions slaves. Not great. Pretty awful tbh.
This is the aftermath of an ICE kidnapping a few blocks from my home in St. Paul—an hour ago. A quiet street full of broken glass and at least three wrecked cars. The target of the kidnapping was taken away by ambulance. He was on a stretcher and covered by a sheet, though a cop said he was alive.

Auspicious start for the new CBS News, laundering unattributed cop shit-talking through the incoming editor-in-chief’s blog and failing to correct a misspelling of the story subject’s name in the web headline for three days.
They are the swamp.
🔥 Senator @ossoff.bsky.social: “Who out there is sitting at home demanding we shut down cancer & Alzheimer’s research? We’re going to pay for this for a century. Irreversible damage has been done. It’s an outrage.”
On Trump, DOGE, & the GOP’s budget cuts (to make way for tax cuts for the rich)
‘Kennedy told reporters that there were "many, many good ways to treat measles and doctors need to know that and to know those methods.’
One problem; there is no treatment for measles. Signed, a doctor who’s been forced to deal with measles because of this stupid fraud.
Almost every line of this story would have been simply unbelievable a few months ago:
—Pioneering cancer researcher;
—*Arrested* at airport in Boston;
—Now indefinite ICE detention in Louisiana;
—"Crime": not declaring some frog-embryo samples for research.
Read it.

Bar chart showing the average federal tax change in 2025 under the 2017 Trump tax law, with the highest benefits going to the top 1% of earners. The chart indicates lower quintiles receive minimal tax cuts, while the top 1% benefit the most with an average reduction of $61,090.
The basic premise of the MAGA Mutiny is we can't afford $61,090 for a food inspector but we need to give at least that much in tax breaks to the richest humans ever to live.
If you wanted to cut waste, fraud, and abuse, you would empower the inspectors general.
If you wanted more waste, fraud, and abuse, you would fire them.
Devastating cuts to the CDC’s legendary Disease Detective branch. Maaaaybe not the best idea with bird flu getting scarier by the day.l

1/ OK, Democratic members of Congress in the US Senate. It’s time for some tough love.
I am aware your pollsters and consultants tell you things like “the American people want us to work together” and “ focus on prescription drug prices in the economy.”
i think an important thing for people outside the US to understand is that elon musk seized control of the government today and most americans don’t even realize it happened.
This is a big deal, y'all. Federal health websites are being stripped of content or removed in their entirety. Stick with this thread for a look at what's disappeared so far! 1/x
