I haven’t seen white asparagus yet near us. Your meal sounds wonderful! Perfect for the wines you had too! How was the champagne?

This war is so damn confusing. It’s why we shouldn’t let drunks and dementia patients run it.

Ha ha! I haven’t even retired any of my winter clothes yet! People stare at me as I walk down the high street all wrapped up! But I’m the loon who is sensitive to low temps!

So sorry Alanna. I’m a bit of a foodie, so a throw out suggestion is to think about the food you’re eating? In particular the plants? Have you looked at what the plants/trees growing in your part of London? Is there any thing you could ingest in order to self vaccinate? Just an idea…

Early June in Northern Spain. I used to be able to set my clock when I lived there! I love them! The colour is incomparable in my opinion!

Wowowow! I’d dive into but avoid the eggs (my own childhood trauma related issues). But I can tell you it looks lush!

My gut adores garlic! I use it daily! Garlic bread less often but still loved!

Too right! My mum is turning 81 tomorrow and we will celebrate! I’m making the cakes today and will layer them up tomorrow. We made her cards and will wrap the birdhouse she wanted. It’s her day and we will make her feel special!

Nobody collected them in our old neighbourhood so they would ripen and grow heavy and then drop on the floor and macerate into a sticky mess! I would try to collect from the lower branches. The shade a mulberry provides is lush though!

Yes, I see your point! It is interesting to cook the potatoes in vinegar and garlic and bay. Let me know how it goes!

Mum showed me a recipe from the Guardian Feast section that she’d like. So that’s Creme Caramel for pudding tonight! Got to give the birthday girl something to enjoy the night before her big day! It’s nice to see her wanting something. Her sense of taste & smell has been off these last few months.

I air fry roasties too! I do par boil them. I toss hot par boiled and shaken potatoes in a tablespoon of hot oil then throw them in the fryer.
Fab roasties! Nigella also has a vinegar potato recipe Jane. Will look it up. It’s much simpler and tasty!

Bravo in finding documentation! It is an open secret in Catalunya! It’s cousin Alioli is also from there! Al (garlic) i (and) oli (oil). Maó is in Menorca and attributed to creating mayonnaise.

They always were, in the old days. A sparkling wine made with xarel•lo macabeu and parellada. I don’t know when that changed. But I agree that they must distinguish themselves from Champagne.

I hate Dyson. Mainly due to how inept they are at the job they’ve been designed to do, but also loathe that Dyson himself is a Brexiteer!
