oh, hey - i'd missed rashunda jones being in there...

i feel you re: BQD. she's right up there, side-by-side with naz as my two all-time favorites.
KBA said that, after one of those close-call losses this season, BQD told her that, "next year, you're going to win these games." and they will! but she won't be there, and it's too bad.
rudy gobert, still a really good player, will always be an elite chump.

we do what we can.
more texture for the rubbin'.
we matts do what we can.
why yes, "amex ticket experiences," i'd love to see jack white some time. i'd rather not see him in a venue called "MegaCorp Pavillion," though, whatever THAT is.
$13.10 a month, to give me that extra-special jolt of hilarity all year round.

my goodness.
unlike jenkins, who *always* seems rushed.
oh, totally...fast but never rushed.
yup, still stinks. and he doesn't have raftery to leaven him.
man, cade is just so fun to watch. never speeds up, just wears you down and rips your heart out.
i was really looking forward to the pistons game tonight after a month of mostly watching lousy college refereeing.
super disappointed that tonight's nba refs are butt, as well.
not loudly or prolongedly enough. we've already got one centrist shithead here, we don't need two.
my vision is from LOTR, with theoden throwing grima wormtongue down the steps of edoras. grima then rides to isengard, where he and saruman both meet a grisly end.
my god, it would be beautiful.
i'm a lifelong yankee fan, and i loved jeter, but the "single position" thing is...well, i'd only say he was playing shortstop *long* after he should've been moved somewhere else. kinda like the husks of the beach boys continuing to tour.
i'd love to say kirsty maccoll - her last, excellent, record was the sign of someone who had figured out who she was, after years of bad luck and bad career choices - but she never got to NOMAH! level. and that's really just my own thing + sadness over the way she died.
los lobos. crazy long, consistent career, still vital and making truly great records, famous but never had that one lightning-bolt record that crossed over to the youngs.
i'm looking forward to the nfl draft. mostly so i can stop reading about the goddamned thing.
oh, there's a new name being floated for the lions at number 17? no fucking WAY!
update: the troubleshooting was not completely successful.
we need to pack him in bubble wrap and limit him to home games and related marching band events ONLY.
i'd also say, maybe it's my age, maybe it was a post-covid thing, but the smoothed edges on ted lasso are sorta what i came to truly love about it. i've gathered that that came from sudeikis working out his stuff on screen, but that's really not "fan service."
star wars yes, but that's not what happened to GoT or ted lasso.
on the other hand, they now appear to be during sound checks and trying to troubleshoot (heavy sighs, "you keep cutting me out, i can hear you, can you hear me?") on the live stream, so now it's at least somewhat amusing.
watching the amstel gold race (pro cycling) on @flosportstv.bsky.social - which i pay for! a lot! - and the stream absolutely stinks.
come on, man, get your act together. there can't be that many people on this stream.
get in line.
for we travellers.
congrats, man.
don't forget that every sober day is better than the alternative, even when - *especially* when - jordan acker is doing shit.
the 'block' button remains undefeated. beat it, man.
