Regularly, but intermittently returning to Ulaanbaatar, there are always observations that have me buzzing upon return. Some of these, I share in conservation w/ @ananddairtan.bsky.social & Dolgion in most recent episode of The Great State Mural podcast.

Everything is a psyop to these people. 🤦🏻♂️

When I was young, they at least bothered to craft a lie to justify invading an oil rich country.
It is easy to pin all of our problems on corruption, especially in Mongolia. But how much of that blame is warranted? in this episode of The Great State Mural, we discuss Mongolia's corruption and what steps are necessary to fix our (Mongolian) corruption issues. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/i...
Both Mongolia's PM and Speaker are out. Weeks of infighting within the ruling party (MPP), the top brass leaders are both dismissed. Now a larger power vacuum is left in Mongolia's politics. Listen to our podcast and find out what happened and what comes next pca.st/dvqto9bm
What *effing coward! Just shows it is the incels who go into "law" enforcement, to feel some power over others.
100 days in office: It should have been smooth sailing for Zandanshatar Gombojov, the new prime minister of Mongolia. But, after losing the vote for party chairman, his legitimacy is further questioned. Now he seeks vengeance against those who wronged him. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/p...
I blame her and the Dems for running a bad campaign. She ran a safe campaign with Republican light messaging... So her grief might have been real but you ran a performative campaign and this is the result. She should have known this would happen, but she was just as smug as Clinton.
Our City is probably the worst. I have never been to any central Asian capital city, but looking at them on Google maps at least they have enough grids. While we haven't made any efforts to plan out an expansion since the 80s.
I just love Ulaanbaatar's traffic. One of a kind in the world. #Mongolia #Institutionalincompentency
After Charlie Kirk'assassination Right Wing influencers all over have started blaming the left, progressive movements -- even in Mongolia. But in Mongolia, left leaning movements don't have a higher presence to defend itself, we explore why that is in our latest episode pca.st/episode/6ebe...
Catch our latest episode of #GSM. We spoke with @radchenko.bsky.social about how Mongolia during its communist time played a role in fulfilling Soviet Russia's plan in global dominance.
While #Mongolia just celebrated its #Naadam Festival, the new government quietly pushed forward with major policy changes.

What a shit conspiracy theory piece of story is this! They make out 64 year old Iranian woman whose family supported the Shah, and was detained by ICE as though she is a sleeper agent for the current Iranian Government. www.nytimes.com/2025/07/02/u...
Our second episode of Great State Mural is up with @mongoliafocus.bsky.social. We talked about the new prime minister of Mongolia, Zandanshatar. Unfortunately, shit happened, and we lost most of the audio, so we scrapped it and put out an introductory episode about the podcast. pca.st/5dwlbede
I wrote about who will be the next PM of #Mongolia, how he got here, and what challenges await him. And also what the protest organizers said he should do to be a leader for the Mongolian people. asia.nikkei.com/Politics/Mon...

The former speaker of parliament appears to be the Mongolian People's Party's preferred candidate for the new prime minister. #Mongolia #Internationalpolitics www.polit.mn/a/107916
Sadly no.
I believe at this time they just need to nominate a woman to the position. It was time Oyun-Erdene to step down, and I think it is time to put a woman. Uchral is the obvious pick, but he is their golden boy, they would not want him to be dragged out in the mud, before the presidential or 2028 vote.
iSee reports that party council meeting originally scheduled today to select nominee for Prime Minister, has been postponed.
Unclear what that means for party congress meant to formalize nomination envisioned for tomorrow.

I chuckled a little bit... 😅
But it is ok. There is enough "Mongolia- horse-as-diplomatic-gift" content on Netflix anyways. Low hanging ... mane, so to speak 🐴

Mongolia's PM, Oyun-Erdene, ousted. Losing the vote of confidence in parliament only receiving 44 votes out 125(126) from the MPs.
Some people wait in the dead of night to watch the Premier league or UFC due to the time difference. I am waiting to see if Mongolia's parliament is going to show confidence or no confidence for the Prime Minister. Democracy at work.
