Will our lives be more comfortable? Or will we be just as lonely, and just as much in need of people who love us?
This story reads like a thought experiment - what might our life be like, as old people in ageist world, trying to hold on to shreds of autonomy, while living in smart homes with AI assistants and appliances?

Highly recommended. In Bangalore, I read through Jayaprakash’s two collections in a matter of days. Had never read anything like them.

This is a story about communication. About languages — spoken and unspoken; and who we speak to, and who we fail to speak to, and how we can reach out and make a connection even when there is no common language. It's tender and hopeful.

A woman trying to make a decision about her long awaited pregnancy tries to confide in her hyper religious mother. This story left me feeling unsettled on many levels. And right at the point when I felt that maybe I was wrong, it ended with an image that made me question myself all over again.
