I'd like to see it... but I'd meant to read the book first. Maybe I'll just go see it while it's in theaters though.

Had to look at the comments to get today's Macanudo. (I haven't seen Project Hail Mary.)
VERY COOL PERSON: It's four-twenty, you know what that means?
ME: Hell yeah! [starts shoving blackbirds into a pie]
28 volumes into Mitsuru Adachi's H2 and they *finally* drop the reasoning behind the book's title.
Pratt and Solano López were contemporaries in the Argentinean comics industry.
They probably influenced each other a lot.
Kinda hilariously, me wanting to replicate that Hugo Pratt-style blocky brush stroke digitally is why there's a brush called "Towle's Gambit" in one of those old Ray Frenden Clip Studio brush packs!
I was grousing about it on Twitter and he very kindly created one.
Man, that's some Hugo Pratt-lookin sleeve folds/drapery. (From The Eternaut.)
Not real sure about the CC's here lol.
Random temp at DC Comics in 1992, trying to be funny: You know, a "crazy ex-girlfriend" is just a regular ex-girlfriend, if you're The Joker
Bruce Timm: Oh my god. OH MY GOD
Dang, I missed that Frank Stack died a few days ago--pioneering undground cartoonist of "The Adventures of Jesus" and "American Splendor".

Here's a cool thing I just noticed about the Fanta Eternaut collection: Out of direct light the cover appears to be silver, but in the sunlight it's an iridescent yellow or purple depending on how you angle it!
Hello Kitty: Agent of Chaos
"Hello Kitty is one of the worst nights ever."
"Note to self- avoid Hello Kitty nights."
"Someone within the Dodgers organization should already have known that this is an issue every time there’s a Hello Kitty night."
"Hello Kitty? More like HELLO TRAUMA"!!!
Hahaha Stan Lee couldn't have written a better headline to this Reddit thread of Dodgers fans commiserating about the throng of ppl at the game last night trying to get the free Dodgers/Hello Kitty sweatshirt. (Which, admittedly, looks pretty sweet.)
I keep thinking Sharon's in the Fantastic Four because of this outfit. (It's too bad she's not--that'd provide a bit of much needed action to this storyline.)
Ah, gotcha. I'm a pretty big fan as well (books moreso than the TV show) and I feel like I would have seen it if he was officially, "Yeah, I'm done." But it's possilble. (I hope not though--hope springs eternal!)
Here are some model sheets of Chuck Jones’ character Sniffles:
There are supposedly two more books in the series. The narrative is very much not-concluded. He's been "working on" the next one T, he Winds of Winter, for like 15 years?
FWIW Huddle House also does not serve "huddles"--whatever the heck those are.
I'm watching on Crunchyroll
Watched episode 3 last night. This show is still 100% 🧑🍳 😘
And just some amazing animation on the a technical level. Ep 3 credits are over a just phenomenal sequence of Coco putting on her witch's robe.
You can tell how thoroughly I've given up even thinking about ever getting The Winds of Winter by the fact that I completely missed this whole (now debunked) release date leak from this past weekend. <sigh>

June Brigman, who is--kinda weirdly--the current artist on Mary Worth (since 2016).
Oh yeah, there was some chatter for sure in the usual online comics spaces.
This thread, on the infamous Chris Ware UPC sticker brouhaha

Yeah, I agree with that sentiment--everyone should go once just to experience it. (I only go occasionally these days--and pretty much just bc my daughter likes it.) It's for sure hard to do on the cheap, though. Sadly, they won't let you sleep in the 24-hr anime screening room any more 😢😢
Check yr email if you're going to SDCC. Hotelloween email/date just dropped. Kinda relieved to not have to deal with it this year. Going to Anime Expo, but not SDCC.
