Staff at a Twin Cities yarn store put together a pattern for a red knit “Melt the ICE” hat inspired by the Norwegian resistance.
They thought they would attract 10 people to a weekly knit-along.
They’ve sold 70,000 copies, raising more than $250k for immigrant aid groups.
The same old sentence wrapped in different words: look what you made me do. You pushed me. You deserved it. This is your fault. It’s the logic of abuse, a kind of moral alchemy that turns cruelty into consequence and makes a woman responsible for her own pain.

I stand with the Iranian people in their legitimate demands for freedom and dignity, and against the Iranian regime that uses repression and violence to silence its own people.
Make it viral.
Any Democratic candidate that is willing to abolish ICE has my vote.
Demonstrators at the January 7, 2026, evening vigil for Renee Nicole Good. A tall flag reads "Fuck ICE."

The stink bugs! I love it and definitely adding to my list. 🪲💚
Zohran Mamdani gave his inaugural speech as New York City's 112th mayor after ceremonially taking the oath of office outside of City Hall on Thursday.
This winter has been hard and wreaking havoc on my RA riddled joints so focusing on knits like fingerless mitts seems practical. Also reading Hamnet and loving it. Anges reminds me of the song "Savage Daughter" by Wyndreth Berginsdottir.

Completed Ohara by Melody Hoffmann. Clothing wise I've never owned anything like this, but I have a feeling I'm going to wear this a lot!

I'm sure someone else has already pointed this out, but Russia has the most nuclear weapons (ICAN). Granted, it's just a couple hundred more, but the USA is still second.
When my yarn vomits up its insides, I just take that as a sign I shouldn’t stop knitting anytime soon. 🧶
Communities across the country were devastated by horrific acts of mass gun violence this weekend. This is not normal. Only in America do you have to worry about getting shot while going to church, or enjoying a night out with friends.
I did my own research and looked into the author. I now understand what I was missing.
Picked up Alchemised by SenLinYu yesterday and started reading it last night. I like the plot and the direction it's going, but it feels more like I'm reading the second novel in a series where much of the world building has already taken place. This is their debut novel, but am I missing something?
if Jimmy Kimmel's political humor is too hot for you to handle, I'm not sure "snowflake" even cuts it as a term of derision for the level of fragility you've achieved
A free and democratic society cannot silence comedians because the President doesn’t like what they say.
This is an attack on free speech and cannot be allowed to stand.
All elected officials need to speak up and push back on this undemocratic act.
Today’s act of political violence in Utah against Charlie Kirk is absolutely disgusting and unacceptable.
We don’t have to agree on everything, but we should all agree on this: political violence is wrong, and has no place in our democracy

Coming from the pattern creator, that is really good to hear! Thank you so much!
Typically it takes me forever and a day to block, but I couldn't wait with this project. I love how it turned out and I'm so stupidly proud!

Celebrating first #Caturday since bringing this little man home on Thursday. 💛🐈⬛
So satisfying to watch. ☺️
This pattern is fantastic! @veg-grower.bsky.social recommended it in one of my previous posts (link they included: www.ravelry.com/bundles/neck...). I'm rewatching the first season of The X-Files while I knit it. 👽
Thank you! The color is Wasabi and I thought it's perfect for this project. 👽
Thank you!
Ribbing and first 12 rows of color work complete! So far my first foray into color work is going well, knock on wood. Needed a couple of rows to get into a rhythm of remembering to pick up floats, but I think my tension is ok.
