i also agree with that! i understand not everyone sees everyones posts. the algorithm is shit and if youre not posting then youre even more hidden to your followers! i dont think anything was intentionally hurtful (at all) i just wanted to get this off my chest while the convo was happening

absolutely!!! and i remember wondering about you too when i hadnt seen you around. but you emailed me! i remember that and it meant a lot. its so hard because that competitive feeling in webcomics feels so stupid. like. why is it like this lmao. and YES absolutely i also feel waaaay left behind :(

i find that announcing breaks and hiatus related stuff helps your readers not get pissy 😂 i would LOVE to see you start a comic!!!! i still want to make comics too! it just feels…a little ick now after all that. but whatever i think we should both just start webcomics for fun

luckily my readers were very understanding and sent me kind messages! but people i considered my peers just…stopped interacting with my posts (not everyone i will say!). it made me feel like the community was transactional. and i was hosted on a webcomic ring too, and nobody ever reached out

it really hurt my feelings. and i havent spoken about this really, but it sucked! and its discouraging. and also i miss everyone but i dont really know how to ever fix it now

the comics community discussion is…interesting to me. im still pretty hurt by when i had like. the worst year of my life and couldnt update my comic or share other peoples updates, almost evert person i met in that community stopped engaging with me. even when i kept trying. it sucked.
