They may not be succeeding! But how would you describe the difference in coverage between Biden’s withdrawal & Trump’s starting a war that leaves US worse off? Between Biden’s age/verbal stumbles & Trump’s? I don’t disagree that normalcy bias exists, but they aren’t just cleaning up his character.

As the previous commenter pointed out, the coverage of leaving Afghanistan vs disastrous war with Iran is nuts & not explained by normalcy bias.
