The US far-right are determined to interfere and influence European and Irish elections. Here’s James Geoghegan and John Dallon, who portrayed themselves as ordinary farmers / contractors, hobnobbing with Kevin Posobiec, an American far-right influencer.

Not once in the 80s, 90s or 00s do I recall a politician urging the public to embrace email, mobile phones, texting, two factor authentication, online banking, air fryers, or to replace all their cassette collection with a CD collection.

So forgive me if I smell a rat.

Caitlyn Jenner, a trans woman who supported Trump for years, being left unable to travel internationally or vote due to Trump's anti-trans policies should be a stark warning to any of the anti-trans gay people out there.

The leopards will make a meal of your face too. Just wait.

Why did mooted move against Martin end before it began? Not for the first time, recent days have seen Fianna Fáil engulfed in rumours of its own making that a heave against the party leader, now 15 years in his role, is imminent.

There are five reasons why a mooted move against Micheál Martin seemingly ended before it began, writes Fiachra Ó Cionnaith.

Probably fine. Definitely nothing to do with the far right influence on the protests.

Its increasingly the case the current US administration is just the court of a mad king. Fall out of favour, and you're out.

Alliances mean nothing to him, so long as you bow down to him.

Who will he turn to when he has no one to turn to?

I was always surprised that he became a minister.

While previous independent TDs had the want and willingness to remain part of the government, MHR was never going to throw away his favourability with his constituents for towing the government line of the day.

He's not a backbencher.

On Yom HaShoah, we pause to remember
the six million Jewish victims of the Nazis’ systematic program of mass murder, along with the millions of others murdered by the Hitler regime. We remember the scale of this horror, and the systems of hatred and dehumanization that made it possible —
and that still echo in our world today.

In New York City, home to more Holocaust survivors than anywhere else in this country, that memory lives among us and shapes who we are. The resilience of survivors is woven into the very fabric of this city, and it calls on all of us to act with courage and clarity in the face of injustice.

Today, as antisemitism rises once more, we are reminded that remembrance alone is not enough. We must confront hate wherever it appears.

As we light the yahrzeit candle, let us come together to protect its fragile flame — and shield it from the cold winds of hate and cruelty.

“Never again” is a promise. And it is one we must fight to keep.
