The last 2 presentations I did live never went well with Live Demos ๐
I had everything planned so well but failed badly; however, I went through the process and ended up showing how I troubleshooted a problem and fixed it. Just not so much fun to do it live, but it definitely has more value.

I mentioned this during my GDC talk, but using game engines combined with MCP AI technology has blown my mind. Now, I can focus on what truly matters and leverage agentic workflows to help me concentrate on the game itself, rather than getting bogged down by repetitive tasks.
I canโt recall a time in my career when I felt so optimistic about the tools I used in my job. However, what weโre using and building at Meta is beyond anything I could have imagined being possible.
Itโs incredible how productivity has skyrocketed in my personal workflows.

I donโt think I have been as excited to build as I am today by using AI tools. Mainly because I can do so much more as an individual developer.

It is extremely important to adopt agentic workflows, because my gut feeling is that a large portion of jobs and people who are not taking advantage of this will be left behind and, as a result, face layoffs. Trust me, this could be any of us at this point. This affects us all.
This is the advice I give you. This is not Meta Dilmer, this is Dilmer who has worked in the XR industry for quite a while. Do not let the fear of advancement undermine what you are doing today. Instead, make time each day to test and integrate the tools that make sense for you.
What I saw as a result of my tests this past week was mind blowing, but itโs not different from how I felt the week before. The reality is that AI improvements are exponential, and no matter what I do, I will always feel behind.
Today, tools are moving at a speed Iโve never seen before. I feel like Iโm behind, but I know Iโm not alone. I personally use and test tools daily, some to improve my workflows, others to fully create games, and a variety to build full tools from scratch.
