Systems you mention are still actively evolving, which is exactly why we released a pre-alpha test in the first place. Many mechanics in the current demo are placeholders or early iterations and will change as development continues.
We appreciate interest and time people spend trying Carbon.
Interesting discussion! :) But drawing design conclusions from a small pre-alpha slice is probably premature. Many core systems and build layers are not in the demo yet. It makes more sense to judge it once the full systems are in place, closer to Early Access.
Locking certain skills to specific weapons is an intentional part of the design. We want weapons to meaningfully change how your character plays rather than just acting as interchangeable stat sticks, so each weapon type opens a distinct combat style and its own set of abilities.
Many skills in the full game are not tied to weapons at all. You will also shape your build through traits, implants, and other systems, so the weapon is only one part of the overall character build.

2. Absolutely. We are totally fine with people streaming their first impressions of Carbon. It is actually great exposure for us, and it helps show that the idea behind Carbon resonates strongly with players, which confirms we are moving in the right direction.

1. You cannot mix and match. You have to choose your path: bio/DNA modifications or tech/cyberware augmentations. Each route shapes your character and playstyle differently.
