train door during journey

train door during journey

10 minutes from wagga wagga.

I love train travel. On a recent assignment i could have flown but decided to take the train instead. It is a 10 hour journey from Naarm to Warrane (Melbourne to Sydney).

Early morning walk to St Kilda pier. Saw this beautiful structure and had it all to myself. Loved the light, the geometry and balance of the rocks with the slats of the shelter

Before we can manage our anxiety, we must first give it shape. Our instinct drives us to uncover hidden threats—what remains unseen feels far more ominous. The slick, folded surfaces and contorted forms suggest an underlying menace, feeding our unease with the unknown.

Frozen in a frame,
wild life paused, yet whisper—
nature’s extent obscured.

Cold concrete behind,
dull sky hums a weary tune,
still, she walks ahead.

A strange, unsettling place, echoing with the remnants of recent life. Objects remain where they were left, frozen in mid-use, their purpose is now uncertain. It is neither abandoned nor occupied—simply paused, caught between what was and what is yet to come.

A fractured light and shadow quadriptych with monochrome and blue sky. A combination of form, contrast, colour and abstraction. Just pissing about really..

The 21st century dissolves rigid gender. Masculine and feminine coexist, merge, and evolve, fluidity over binary. Society reshapes itself as people redefine roles, fashion, and love. A harmonious symphony emerges, blending genders into true human authenticity.

6am, scattered scooters.

I'm not a fan of these. Left in the middle of footpaths where the elderly of infirm have to navigate around them. Symptomatic of disposable, arrogant and convenience culture that is so damaging to our world.

Portrait shoot with jack. My first effort after having dumped Adobe software. This project was processed in Affinity Photo 2. The longer I use t the more I like it.
With Photoshop all the innovation is now in AI tools that are awkwardly shoe horned awkwardly into legacy software.

Crisp Series #2925

We have a powerful impulse to make sense of unfamiliar shapes. I think humans need to visually contextualise things to feel safe. If something remains unknowable or hidden it is troubling to us.

What the hell am I doing with this series? The perennial question... does it have merit, am I kidding myself, what am I trying to convey....buggered if I know.
