I use live2d cubism for tweened animation as it has a free version you can download and test if it would work for you. It has a bit of a learning curve but does really well imo

I personally haven’t used csp before but the best that has worked for me animating on programs like flipaclip or procreate have been having 2 seperate saves for the animation, or animating a scene in 2s while the main action happens normally(2s being a drawing being held for 2 frames)

Animating them on 2 seperate canvases can help a lot, but if it has to be on the same canvas then having a storyboard kind of helps with timing. Really depends if you’re doing frame by frame animation or tweening/puppeting
