The book helped me reflect and furthered my own thoughts particularly as more cases of similar drugged abuse appear to be discovered. She brings her intelligence, sensitivity, respect and skill to this difficult subject with analysis much needed in our current time.

This was very much a national security matter and remains so. My point was that despite that, every employee has acess to HR particularly when sacked.
This forum is not a helpful forum for debate but slinging insults is not compulsory.
Olly Robbins as a sacked civil servant mentioned HR in his replies which he stated dissuaded him from replying on his position as an employee. There are HR processes for all. Nothing to do with National Security in itself but correct normal employment practices.
Closely, completely, watching and listening to both the PM facing the Commons on Monday and Olly Robbins account of matters it would seem obvious that HR should do what is normally offered, an opportunity for mediation as an agreed wayforward that does not necessitate either man losing his job.

Why is our UK Government still using Whatsapp/ X/ Twitter for work? Political reps and also those holding Ministerial roles or unelected roles in any Govt should only have personal accounts and use advised recorded means of communication for their work. Most of us would be sacked if we did this!
My understanding is that throughout history we have examples of disease having often killed more soldiers during war than combat.

I have just finished her excellent book "Living With Men" exploring the trial and more. Informative and intelligent analysis.
Secure, well-run and unfailingly polite.

Few commentators seem to have watched the entire Cttee held response from Robbins. I watched Starmer in the Commons and Robbins. What I saw led me to see the familiar pressure downwards on an existing efficient public service system. Civil service delivery undermined, misunderstood and politicised.
Yess!💪🤜👊🤛
And can you find out *what happened* at #Starmer's "undocumented" visit to #Palantir's, #Washington-Office, arranged by #Epstein's *bestie*, #Mandelson?
Cos, as we know, nothing was recorded? No notes, no minutes,NOW'T!🤫🙄
Why?🤨
ps: Good job here👇👍

A small point from the Mandelson/Robbins saga. Refom and many Tories argue for a civil service than can be more easily bent to the will and whims of their elected political masters.
This is precisely what happened here.
The concept of public service often keeps the overworked and unsung in their jobs. If we lose the concept through over involvement of factional movers and shakers we will find it hard to retain good people.

We are grateful to Scottish Labour MSPs for adding their names in support of our statement on recognition.
Alongside yesterday’s statement from Anas Sarwar, it sends a clear message that all Scottish Labour MSPs support recognition of the State of Palestine.

Thank you to you as Chair, the Committee members and Sir Oliver and Parliament..tv for giving us all an informative insight into an important Parliamentary Cttee. BBCNews were prone to cutting- in which meant losing certain Qs&As until I refound the Parliament Channel.
Excellent coverage of The Foreign Affairs Committee / Sir Oliver avoiding annoying summaries and interruptions when on main BBC News Channel.
It showed the public the value of first hand live TV as if we could all attend in London Thank you Parliamentlive.tv - Commons share.google/VotxkUyroIUc...

V interesting. As I keep saying, economic statistics really matter (& need funding). A state that doesn’t know what’s what (about itself and its oppos) is in trouble.

Well said. We need to study how the very rich gain power over Government policy all over the world by amplifying subjects, funding their own political or social obsessions, giving them an undeserved importance over issues that promote justice and equality. Private funds can undermine progress.
Just a thought: How about we stop shaming the poor for buying things that may not be essential, and start shaming the rich for making a profit off things that are essential?
I believe this company has a UK government contract with our NHS, the the largest universal health data of a population set in the world? Should be no where near it. Hope I am wrong. Very scary.
