I sound like a sweet summer child, but i try to reason about this because finding that i was born at a time where i got to witness the upheaval of the world order and possibly the end of life because of oil powered crusades is just too scary for me.

I can't understand this world, it's illogical.

All in all, i mean, when people think of oil, one thinks more about powering the many vehicles and machines, but not the rest of what can be done with oil.

so if one could switch to renewables at least making oil not needed for vehicles, machines and factories, would that lower the need for wars?

Would making oil obsolete as a resource make it so there are less wars?

I do understand that petroleum can be used in many things other than gasoline and power, but if renewables can replace it's energy production, oil could only be used for making the rest of things if it's that indispensable.
