It mentions scrubs. And the others. Fails mention scrubs is actually good.

Why higher pay hasn’t made young adults feel richer The aspiration gap has turned everyone into losers, especially graduates

Great piece (and graphics) by @jburnmurdoch.ft.com. PS This is exactly why @pauldwebb.bsky.social and I talked about 'the educated left-behind' when we wrote about the young people who'd followed Corbyn into the Labour Party - and who may well be following Zack Polanski into the Greens.

Timber works is great! Cycling through there after school pony way to the gym. The central area full of kids playing. Super low traffic, and a variety of shaped houses with great high quality brick work. And 50% council tenants in blind council housing.

The British a far closer socially and politically to the Dutch, Germans and French than to the Americans, but because most of us only speak English we don't realise.

Chart showing that bus times in Birmingham are less variable than Tram times in Birmingham.

Chart showing that bus times in Birmingham are less variable than Tram times in Birmingham.

And that leads us onto CIBAB's, pronounced like Kebab. The people whose answer to every proposal is, “Can’t it be a bus?”

This is despite all the evidence that Trams support modal shift, have higher capacity, are permanent, support regeneration, are more accessible, and more reliable.

It’s only cocky if the confidence is unwarranted. FWIW. This was pretty damn good.

NASA just dropped this image of Artemis II astronaut Christina Koch looking back at us. The first woman to ever see our planet in its entirety. I’m not crying you’re crying 🥹🔭🧪 📸: NASA

Buren - bistro-casual classics — Louche Gastronomique

That new year's resolution I mentioned was to visit and review (or update my review of) at least one Cambridge restaurant each month in 2026.

It's nearly the end of January, and Buren has been open for just over a year, so it's well overdue a write up:

It’ll be because it’s an uncommon car for that age range, so not much data to go on.

Have seen it used as:

A database
A word processor
A CMS
A presentation tool
A spreadsheet
A CRM
A multi purpose dev environment
A teach tool for programming
A BI tool

From my own experience, those teams with a strong review, mobbing and pairing culture are those most successfully using AI for coding.

It's systems design. It's understanding the purpose of a system that you build and making sure that system is accessible and not byzantine.

My most favorable position re: AI coding tools is that it will empower humanists to replace technologists.

But I'm not that hopeful given the hype.

Government debt is largely irrelevant for most purposes. Govt Debt is an asset for pensions, savers and insurance companies. The interesting thing is spending and spending as much as the economy can bare without inflation running away is the important thing.
