Now you can run Steam games in Linux on some handhelds that ship with Android The line between PC and mobile devices is getting blurrier all the time. Apple's MacBook Neo uses an Arm-based processor made for iPhones... and still manages to outperform many mid-range Windows laptops with Intel or AMD processors. Qualcomm is making some of the fastest laptop chips available for Windows PCs today. And emulation software allows you to run some x86 apps and games on Arm-based processors, as well as play some Windows games on Linux systems.

What makes this model a little different than some others is the front-facing stereo speakers...

Lilbits: Lenovo’s new gaming phone & tablets, Walmart’s new media streamers, and Microsoft Surface price hikes Two bits of Microsoft Surface news broke this week. The company is discontinuing its large-screen Surface Hub products. And Microsoft is raising prices across the board for its current line of Surface laptops and tablets. That's... not particularly surprising. Given the impact of rising RAM & storage costs, soon it's going to be more newsworthy when companies don't raise prices than when they do.

I remember trying out a full text feed with ads once, maybe a decade or more ago. They made virtually no money, and made it easy for scrapers to copy my articles and republish them on other sites, so that was a short lived experiment.

Ahh, that's kind of been my approach to accepting donations - if you're not gonna look at ads, please consider paying. And I won't bother developing a private, ad-free page, because you've probably already got an ad blocker. Seems like the same might apply to the full text feed. 😂

The site had a cloudflare issue right after I published that post. It should be fixed now. As for a separate full text feed for patrons, last time I looked into it, it seemed like it'd take a nontrivial amount of work to set up for a very, very small number of subscribers. I'll check again though.
