Anfield. Liverpool 2-0 Man City. 1st December 2024
Witnessing greatness in the making
Jones or Szoboszlai for tomorrow?
Szoboszlai would be more fresh and could need his energy and pace tomorrow too but Jones has been so good recently
Jota, Konate, Bradley, Tsimikas, Alisson and Chiesa all out but we've been "lucky" with injuries
Trent starts for any team in the world. Such a shame if we do lose him, especially for free.
Could have gone down as a club legend and one of the greatest to ever plays for us. Hope we can still try and sort out something
Only 1 goal conceded is mental and that was in the first 3 mins of the campaign
Still the moment of the match
Mac Allister in the opposition half was just incredible tonight
So many goood performances. What a game, outplayed one of the best teams in Europe. Massive credit to Slot too.
Anfield is going to be rockin on Sunday.
Up the Reds
This feels like the final all over again.
Exciting game though, lot of good battles, ref making some questionable decisions
Thought we'd rotate Nunez and Robertson but exciting team. Would be good to sign off the bday with a LFC win. Last significant win during my bday I remember was 2001 when Mellor scored the winner vs Arsenal 😄
Dias, De Bruyne and Savinho all probably start on Sunday too.
Not going to be an easy game at all
Yeh possibly. But maybe the only team where that approach might not workm Can't remember the last time City just sat back and defended 🤔 even during a match
Surely they just show up on Sunday now? Cant be this bad defensively again. Pep isn't sleeping for the rest of the week
Slot laid the foundation for this comeback 🤣. City are falling apart
He’s ace 😂
Fulham being only 4 points off 3rd surprised me
Big blow, for starting to own that LB spot, Robertson has really struggled this season and needs to be rotated. Maybe Gomez will get some time there too
Good morning Bluesky
I think it is impossible to truly appreciate or even comprehend the job Slot is doing right now.
We're eight points clear in November having made no real signings in the summer. He's had to deal with injuries to key starters. And he had to succeed Jürgen Klopp.
The best midfielder in the league this season.
Incredible, not only seeing how quickly he's adapted and developed but how crucial he is for our side now
Mixture of trying to be unbiased and still stuck in the 90s with the laws of the game then
Surprised we got a pen the way things were going, surprised Carra didn't say "nah there's nothing in that" 🤣
Kinda went how I'd imagine it going! That finish by Salah was class, and kept his cool for the pen.
Always tough post international break but massive win
Wonder if Tsimikas would have started if he was fit
Ibou having a shocker, Van Dijk moment of madness before the goal and even worse by Robbo to dive in like that.
Not been at it, big HT team talk by Slot needed
Beautiful finish by Szobo. Good start to the game from him
Yeah so true, first 1vs1 will be key, dent his confidence hopefully
Ryan Fraser LB vs Mo Salah should be interesting...
Cant believe I wrote him off at one stage last season. Will go down as one of the greatest
Do think today will tell us a lot about Slot too, how he manages expectations and if he's able to keep the team cool and get the job done
