I love that arched entrance to a designer bar and grill on Cambridge Trinity Street. I'm glad it has been preserved or rebuilt because it became quite dilapidated years ago. Money does have its uses. Next door was Jaegar, now The Ivy Brasserie. All these flashy and expensive places would have been quite alienating to me coming to Cambridge now instead of simpler times in 1974 when pubs were scruffy and cheap.

A small watercolour drawing of the entrance to HA!HA! on Trinity St, Cambridge (now Strada) with passing figures. This sold at an exhibition I had in King Street in 2000. Doesn't seem long ago to me. See alt text

A European robin stands facing the camera on a low mound of fresh white snow. Its round body is fluffed up against the cold, showing a vivid orange-red breast and face that contrast strongly with its pale grey belly and brownish-grey wings and head. Slender dark legs and fine toes grip the snowy surface, where scattered seeds and grains lie partially embedded in the snow in front of the bird. The background is softly blurred in muted greens and browns, suggesting a winter garden or woodland edge, with a thin twig and a dried leaf hanging behind the robin. Small white flecks of snow fall around him, adds to the cold, wintry atmosphere.

Going to walk the dog now as I’ve cleared the snow off the car. ❄️❄️❄️🥶🥶🥶 Be back in around 4 hours to see the rest of the #BirdOfTheDay entries. Here’s a Robin standing in the snow asking why I didn’t stock up on meal worms after yesterday’s feeding frenzy. 😂😂 #birds #photography #EastCoastKin

Denmark rankles at MAGA post on Greenland after Trump’s Venezuela operation Katie Miller, a former U.S. administration official-turned-podcaster, posted an image late Saturday showing a map of Greenland in the colors of the Stars and Stripes with a one-word caption: “SOON.…

Denmark was outraged after a rightwing podcaster in the US pivoted from Washington’s Venezuela operation directly to Greenland, the autonomous Danish territory that US President Donald Trump has coveted.

I want to remind everyone that the US has sanctioned members of the International Criminal Court for going through a formal legal process to identify international leaders who engaged in war crimes, making them vulnerable to arrest.

This new war is not only illegal, reckless and deeply corrupt, it is the latest in a series of increasingly desperate distractions from the EPSTEIN Files.
