Though one shining light is that most artists have another avenue to make revenue. So suspending one account, especially one not connected with money, is not going to be life-ruining. It's still very upsetting, though.
It just bothers me that there is a strong emphasis on connection between these people and how they are "doing the right thing". They give each other pats on the back after suspending someone and talk about who else to target. Literally like a mob.
taboo makes things hotter sorry. two random guys having sex is boring. but two guys having sex in public? having sex despite being blood relatives? having sex despite a problematic power imbalance or age gap? you'll learn to appreciate these things someday if you don't already. indulge a little

And I think it's going to be a problem if we moralize about what is and is not allowed in fiction, because it could lead to expanding this "disallowed" scope to proportions that could ban a lot more than just "problematic" art. Because that term by itself is VERY loose and VERY subjective, IMO.
The witch-hunts form around the idea of grooming people to be into it, but that's the very reason why porn is made for ADULTS. People who are of age should be able to block/mute/filter the tags they don't want and not feel the need to make a big thing about it - actually bringing in MORE attention.
I know I might be preaching to the choir here, but seeing a certain anti FICTIONAL incest wave rise up on the bird platform makes me a bit sad. What do you mean seeing fictional incest and/or non-con will make you into it IRL? By that logic, shouldn't seeing murder in fiction make you a murderer?

I see. I haven't been writing much longer than you, since I started in June, I think (and stopped for a good while), but it just feels like I can't quite bring back the writing to the level it was. Same with my drawing which, ironically, looked not that great even back then. Thanks for the response!
Question for people who do art or try to learn new skills: Do you ever feel like you're regressing for some reason? I don't mean a plateau or "perception improves faster than skill", but comparing old pieces to new ones and feeling like they're a LOT better. Be it writing, visual art, music, etc.
