Had a terrible week and NBC made it worse by cancelling Law & Order: Organized Crime 🫠

My heart breaks for the three service members who have lost their lives, and I am praying for those who were wounded.

America’s sons and daughters are being put in harm’s way because of Donald Trump’s illegal war.

Congress must act to rein in Donald Trump before more lives are lost.

Employees still have to drive home, get adequate sleep, and find time to have a decent meal. A lot of employees also have parental responsibilities, spousal responsibilities, and personal responsibilities. We’re not giving employees enough time to sustain their needs outside of the workplace.

For example, in Kentucky an employer can you work you from 4:00 pm to 6:30 am as many days in a row as they want. That’s a 14 hour 30 minute shift. With a 9 hour 30 minute window in between shifts. Do you see the issue there?

Not only does Kentucky need updated labor laws that protect the physical and mental wellbeing of employees, we also need to hold major corporations accountable for their part in not having adequate policies that protect their employees as well. It’s 2025, not 1925. Let’s do better.

Our democracy is under siege, and cowards in Washington are bowing to Donald Trump. Kentuckians deserve a leader who’s battle-tested and ready to fight from day one. I’ve done it as a Marine and for Kentucky. I’m ready to complete the mission. Join me.

The death penalty grew out of this country’s brutal practice of lynching.

When lynching became politically and socially unpalatable, the death penalty became the state sanctioned alternative.

No one should be killed by the state. The time to end the racist, unjust, and cruel death penalty is NOW.

My hope is that our state leaders can revisit these laws and make necessary changes to ensure the wellbeing of all Kentuckians. I think it’s time for a change, @govandybeshear.bsky.social

As I sit here and read through Kentucky’s labor laws I can see how outdated they are in comparison to how the world is today.
Many employers take advantage and work their employees into the ground because of these laws. I’m sure we all see how physically and mentally unhealthy that is.
