@claireallan.bsky.social I really loved The Fabulous Forties Club! My favourite line, which made me laugh out loud, was "I would rather nail my boobs to the wall than set foot in a club." Can't wait for your next book!

Ah thank you!!! I’m just doing the proof read for TFFC book two, which is coming in May.
The ladies go on a retreat for menopausal women, deal with the Adam/ Jodie situation and we see how things go with Conal. Plus we get an insight into Niamh’s story ❤️

Men's clothes are not designed for the cut and shape of a female body. And I could walk into any shop on the high street and find clothes in a UK size 6/ US size 2 at an affordable price. HTH.

People don't have to say nice things.
Nor do people have to be cruel.
There's a whole spectrum of responses that are not nice, but also not cruel. HTH.

Are you well? You've gone through countless of my posts just to criticise me and/ or them. Clearly I am not your cup of tea, so just hit the unfollow/ block button. It's cool. I'll still sleep well at night.

You'll start a war with that picture!

I believe the Irish Tea Sock has made a statement on this matter, but thank you for bringing it to wider attention.

My tea has now run out and I'll be implementing the third element of the International Tea Protocol.

No matter how often we hear it, it still makes me jump!

(If you think I'm joking just look at how heated everything is over the border protocols since Brexit. Grown men fighting with each other over sausages, FGS!)

If they allow it on Sundays, the people will want to turn it off on bank holidays and it will spiral from there. There has to be a uniformity to these things.

Some believe this is why there such strong feeling about the border protocol debate post Brexit.
The loss of the mandatory tea alarm was seen as an attack on British culture.
The Irish system makes it illegal to refuse a cup of tea unless you've had 5 cups that day. 'Ah go on, go on, go on' etc

There is so much chat about the Tea Alarm on social media just now but as usual our unique arrangement in the North of Ireland has been absent from the conversation.
Mad when you think it was this exact issue that nearly derailed the entire peace process.

PSA: Under the terms of the Good Friday Agreement, Northern Ireland residents can choose whether to respect the British Tea Alarm or the Irish Tea Act.
I don't think enough Americans know about this. The Irish Tea Act is based on a cumulative cups of tea drunk in a day, rather than an alarm system.

I’m on estrogen, but can’t take progesterone. It’s always hormones, isn’t it?

1 year ago 0 0 0 0

Yes. Post ovulation our skin tends to look less vibrant and elastic. Right before we menstruate again is usually the worst.

It may also be a sign to get your hormone levels checked to see if anything is off.

I’m perimenopausal so my hormones are definitely ALL off ❤️

I am wanting to yeet all the mirrors out of the house.

How is it somedays you can look in the mirror and think 'Not too shabby' and on other days, despite wearing the same clothes, doing the same make up/ hair etc the reflection back at you feels like a proper jump-scare moment?

Do we just have ugly days?

Asking for a friend having a very ugly day.

Thank you for your honesty. As the mother of a trans-child who I am actively fighting to keep on this earth against a barrage of anti-trans policy and rhetoric, my heart hurts for you.
Thank you for voicing your initial feelings too - you made me feel less alone x

Thank you for sharing that - absolutely devastating, but incredibly relatable. I just want to save my child's life. x

A powerful, devastating and honest article on being the parent of a transgender child.
Our transgender children are being failed. The govt has blood on their hands.
