My house was all-in on Team Girl Squad. I was running a DnD campaign for them at the time, and ended up modeling one player's little sister on Wasabi

As the school festival fades in the rear view, our young heroes return to the regular theatrics of adolescence, each reconsidering their own path towards happiness. It's time for another triumphant episode of Toradora!

Thanks so much Bless! I really do love this cast
Quite happy with this one. I hope you all enjoy it

I was already excited for Umakoshi Precure, but I didn't expect it to immediately be Casshern Sins #precure
Got my hair cut, which in practice changes my look from "aging shoegaze guitarist" to "aging math rock guitarist"
Checking out an acclaimed crime drama
We're finishing off the week with a return to Blue Reflection Ray, as the tragically rudderless Niina is confronted by Kaori, and two mysterious new arrivals challenge Ruka's motives. Can a stolen Fragment ever be returned to its owner? Let's try and find out!

I just watched Flash Gordon, where Dalton plays a devilish swashbuckler, which reminded me of his terrific villainy in Hot Fuzz. Apparently I've now got an appointment with this one
I get it’s a more dramatic formation than “Godzilla Minus Two,” but they’re kinda cornering themselves here. No one’s lining up to see Godzilla Minus Negative One
Yeah, we've certainly spent a fair amount of time circling that one missing truth about Jack and Jenny's perspective on Zimmy, something that unlocks everything else. Sort of the opposite case of Omega, who shifted from a whisper to an open book as soon as she fully entered the plot
I'm impressed it's wrapping up so cleanly, given the length and ambition of the project. I was a bit skeptical of the coven at first, but they've proven some excellent endgame spice
"You must be a genius level intellect to teach Mitsuru about burgers" definitely one of my favorite Persona mechanical gags, alongside "do you have the courage to date your teacher?"
Heart-of-distortion Renard is the most cursed thing I have ever witnessed. You've gone too far this time, Gunnerkrigg Court
If this grid had a better array of categories, they would - MGS2 and Death Stranding are both among my favorite games
Yeah, this is proving to be a wild year for new productions so far. Don't think I'll have any trouble stocking my year in review
This week we screened an Al Pacino classic, got acquainted with some killer fungi, checked in on the adventures of the world's greatest turtle, and joined Van Damme for some high-kicking heroism. Let's break it all down in the Week in Review!

Don't know where they're living, but I can tell you where they aren't
Good luck man!
Holds up quite well, in spite of the Carpenter version's long shadow! Aside from the premise, this version actually seemed more of an ancestor to Alien/Aliens - the cramped holdout, the reliance on improvised weapons, the use of a proximity radar, the giddy science officer and "crew expendable" tone
The Thing From Another World (1951)
Sorta cheating there, since I’m a big fan of many OG StarCraft antagonists - Kerrigan, DuGalle, Mengsk
A genuine "I'm always saying this" for me, my mouth moves before my brain whenever anyone mentions rubber, gum, or Hisoka
Honestly, neither would I. Square hit magic with KH2 specifically - a perfect skill-testing balance that even the same franchise couldn't repeat. That said, it's also one I'd easily exchange for Hollow Knight (which I think essentially solved its genre)
Wish I could have found room for Hollow Knight, Valkyria Chronicles, Cave Story, and TimeSplitters 2. They can share credit wherever seems appropriate
