“Ego Lifts” oil on canvas, 30”x40”
oil painting of a tattered, Canadian mailbox, set in a surrealistic environment, set in a sea of mail all spread across, with piles sticking out and visible buoys and a landing pigeon
i’m back… officially quit all Meta this week—looking to start 2026 correctly! this will be my only social media for now... from earlier this year: Inside-Out - Snail Mail (Canada Post) 14”x 18” oil on panel. a nod to “USPS,” bringing along the melancholic theme packaged in whimsy/surrealism.
Thanks so much!
Off the easel: Inside-Out: Snail Mail (USPS) 14”x 18” oil on panel. Thank you, @strangebirdart.bsky.social, for letting me use your #pigeon captures as references 🙏🏼. I wanted to bring in the diversity of these overlooked birds (& the obvious OG history of DMs 🐦)
Thank you!! 🤗
Thank you! 🧡
I was excited to have my painting accepted to @archenemyarts.bsky.social 2023 Open Call, then to have this same painting accepted to the NHP&CC 124th Annual Juried Exhibit in Feb! This morning I was beyond the moon to find out it was bought for the club’s private collection! Someone pinch me!
Finished this one a couple of weekends ago, finally! “Guaicaipuro” - 24”x18” oil on panel

Last year I came up with the idea of the troupial, Protector of Gummies, for a mini woodcut bootcamp led by Tom Hück at CCP. The bootcamp was 3 days & an all nighter to get this 8.5x12 sketch pulled on the 3rd day. I learned so much about the process and took home a concept I continued exploring

In 2019, I finished “Icterus, Icterus,” 30”x40” titled after the national bird of Venezuela. I intended on this series, with my life as an expat, as my motif. These past couple of months I’ve been working on this 2nd one (smaller at 18x24), in oils. ~75% there.
My little cloud gang on the wall cheering me on as I paint ☁️☁️☁️ I still have 16 more to paint.
Those are amazing 🤩
This piece features the extinct Great Auk and the critically endangered Amsterdam Albatross. I am so excited to have two pieces in the BRINK exhibition opening tonight at Antler Gallery in Portland, OR! Please email gallerist@antlerpdx.com for inquiries 🧡

Amazing! Congrats!
Rugged man in his thirties poses on a lift truck with a black jacket spotted with paint as if he painted the whole mural by himself but really it was just a small part and isn’t that how life is?
Hey 👋🏼 brief introduction:
CT livin’, Venezuelan-born, painter, printmaker, engineer, passionate stoic, 5wing4. I can’t find enough time in my days or enough sleep in my nights.
Large mural priming using lift truck
Group of New Haven artists and muralists smiling
Finished mural showing spider design and flowers
Rooftop view from lift truck
This Summer&Fall I took part in New Haven’s largest mural as an apprentice under Mike DeAngelo (put together by the City + Yale) they put together a cool video together here: m.youtube.com/watch?v=3m8r... not a lot of muralists in Connecticut and it would be awesome to do more work like this!

Me. Currently trying to figure out how to better spend whatever little time I have left to create. 😐
Oof I don’t think I can.. this is my life’s mission. Either drowning it out or pushing through and creating despite 😬😮💨
