I got on my bike and took a risk to share some big news: @nyc-dot.bsky.social has an updated and expanded proposal to redesign 31st Street!

This is actually quite fucked up but imagine how good it feels as a state assembly campaign volunteer to expose malfeasance on the part of the incumbent through careful forensic analysis of public documents
We've uncovered what might be the biggest case of petition fraud in NYC's history, and now I'm taking my opponent to court.
One of the things I love most about Zohran’s rise to power is that it shows so clearly how we could have a better democracy—one that actually serves us instead of just the rich—if the left decides collectively to take electoralism and government seriously. It’s ours for the taking if we want it.
I’m so excited for this.
Please, I am begging people: never again repeat the claim that only two people were killed in the occupation of Minnesota.
I'm always struck by the refusal of otherwise literate adults to distinguish between annoying and dangerous when it comes to bikes. Water is wet and cyclists are less dangerous than cars for pedestrians! Not debatable!
A surge in cyclists has left some pedestrians feeling intimidated. "It's dangerous for pedestrians," says Bernadette, a 66-year-old university teacher. "Cyclists are always cutting in front of cars, running red lights and generally doing whatever they want.
Wild what you can get away with in articles about cycling. This is objectively false! A city with less driving and more biking is far safer for pedestrians. Hate cyclists all you want but that’s an empirical fact
Last month, I was elected by our democratic socialist movement to fight for an affordable NY and oppose Trump’s authoritarianism. And if we want to succeed, we’ll need more working class champions in office.
That’s why today, I’m endorsing the full @socialists.nyc @buffalodsa.bsky.social slate!
As ICE apprehends more children every day, it raises a simple question that’s also one of grave moral concern: What does detention do to a child’s health?
"I see a regression of developmental milestones. They don’t want to eat. They have problems sleeping. They wake up screaming,” one doctor said.
Vote No War but Class War slate for Anti-War Working Group OC!
We are fighting for an anti-war movement led by DSA and the working class. Ending imperialism must be incorporated into every aspect of our work, and it must be @socialists.nyc leading the fight.
For the same $6 trillion cost, you could crush child poverty with a child allowance and free childcare, fix unemployment insurance, do paid family, sick & medical leave, massively boost ACA subsidies, and eliminate child uninsurance with Medicare for Kids.
did you think getting rich was out of reach? not anymore! thanks to online prediction markets, you can now win big betting on questions like “who will be the next president?” and “how many children will die in elementary schools bombed in the war with Iran?”
finally, a path to wealth you truly earn
This obviously very stupid but is it also smart? We’ll talk to some liars after this break.
Schumer and Jeffries support this war for reasons that are obvious.

i cannot stop thinking about this man, who survived the Rohingya genocide but couldn’t survive border patrol. “He died trying to get home” is a gut punch
Were they looking at poll numbers for a different guy? Because the guy speaking at the SOTU is really unpopular, to the point where clapping politely could lose you votes
New York City Democratic Socialists of America Welcomes Shahana Hanif (D-39) and Chi Ossé (D-36) To our City Socialist in Office Committee
The votes are in: NYC-DSA just DOUBLED our socialists in City Council. 📈🌹
We're proud to welcome @shahanafrombk.bsky.social and @chiosse.bsky.social to our City Socialist in Office committee!
Our movement is growing. Together we'll win an affordable New York.
There's no one more Greenpoint than
@emilyassembly.bsky.social — or someone who's fought harder in Albany for housing, transit and environmental justice.
I couldn't be more excited to have her endorsement in our run for Congress.
Every single time a story like this is reported, we must assume that there are many many more that do not.
Every photo from Minneapolis looks like this. Cops decked out with guns and full tac gear facing off against people in bathrobes, parkas, and sweatpants armed only with whistles and cell phones.
Yet every verified MAGA chode on X dutifully calls it a riot or violent insurrection.
I don't know if it's really clear, outside of coverage of Mpls and pockets of organizing elsewhere, that hundreds of thousands of people are actively and at every level of society fighting our government as it abducts and imprisons and torments our neighbors.
This is the second account - the first being in Chicago - of DHS agents mass detaining people and then *sorting them by race*.
We are murdering people and it is basically just background noise at this point. www.nytimes.com/2026/02/09/u...
My least popular (and most correct) view is that cars should be automatically limited to the local speed limit. Put the pedal to the floor and you still can't go over 25mph in a residential area.
(15 in Manhattan btw)
Thank you to ZCC and everyone supporting everyone else in the Twin Cities right now.
They’re trying to run the Kilmar Abrego Garcia playbook with a five year old boy in a bunny hat because nobody can find peace if they embarrass the Trump administration publicly. Normal people didn’t like it with Garcia and they really aren’t going to like it for Liam.
Right after I took office today, I co-sponsored my first bill, a centerpiece of our campaign & close to my heart: the New York for All Act.
Assemblymember Karines Reyes has long championed this critical legislation. We must prohibit state & local cooperation with Trump's deportation machine.
