Ah that's really crap I'm sorry :(

Did you ask your branch, or the bureaucracy? The bureaucrats have always been hopeless for everyone, (but take credit for what ordinary working class people do from the grassroots)
There may also be lgbt committees, officers, things like that, who are actually helpful
The reality of life is often you just have to pick the least harmful cult and hope that somehow one day we can all push hard enough that future generations won't have to do that
(obviously yes have red lines of behaviour you won't tolerate! But low and medium-level nonsense, we're just stuck with)
...part of greater social collectives, but fragmented & contradictory inside
I often wonder if the adaptive function of DID is related to this. Where we were hurt early, in such a way as to undermine trust in the external collective, so we need an internal collective in order to meaningfully exist
The social need to assign clear identity imo comes from moral responsibility, and in turn from the modern legal system. At the end of the day these are social constructs, not a fixed reality
The "individual" has never truly been a fixed thing, one per body. There are grey areas
Everyone is both...
I think insisting that alters in a system with DID are "really" just one person is stupid. Personal identity is a comforting illusion, but it's philosophically incoherrent - even in singlets
You may as well suggest that "the english" are really all one collective person (and many nationalists do!)
I may not hit hard, but this MF does not go down, EVER! I win through sheer fcking determination, every time ππ (yes this is an analogy, in a real ring I'd be out like a light round one π π π )
#OtD 21 Mar 1973 the Mental Patients Union was formed in London. They argued that like workers joining unions, mental health patients needed to organise as well, putting forward a list of 24 demands to improve their conditions stories.workingclasshistory.com/article/9410...
I saw a tiktok saying "not everyone has to protest, there are other roles in a movement". But then all their examples were like "educator, artist" (things that make one the centre of attention)
I was thinking: what about trauma support????? (& paperwork & all the other hard invisible work)
"I don't think anyone ever went crazy from looking at their pain. People go crazy because they won't look at their pain. It drives them crazy. I really believe that" - David Gabriel, quoted in Safe Passage to Healing
Omg good news! TIL the British False Memory Society shut down last year πππ
The American one closed in 2019. Not before it's time, after all the suffering it's responsible for
Tango down!
We saw @delilahbon.bsky.social this week!! Screaming along to this song was our therapy www.youtube.com/watch?v=r2oF...
Still a bit teary. But also happy and safe and feeling love for everyone singing along with us ππ€β€οΈββ€οΈβπ₯
We got a bit dissociated but our partner caught us and we came back π₯°
I meant, in Matthew he specifically told a person with "great wealth" to sell everything
...suggesting the early christian cult did not interpret itself as in any way anti-slavery
We can see this got worse the later that biblical texts were written (ref: "The First Paul"). But I think OP is right to say the rot was there from the start
2/2
In Matthew 19 he was specifically talking to someone who had "great wealth"
In Luke 12 he was talking more to disciples but in the context of a parable about a very rich person
The Didache gave instructions for how to treat slaves/servants, and taught slaves to submit "with reverence and fear" /1
The nonsense is kinda making me crazy π
Do they think the old KJV translation was better? Really? (For anyone looking it up on biblegateway - TW: lgbtq+ phobia, sexism)
Can't we all agree the bible is inherently anti-gay & anti-women? Then move tf on instead of trying to save it??
Why are we running into so many current & former social workers lately? And why are all of them awful people?
Oh, that's not okay :/. They've refused to speak to us for years so I wouldn't know π
Also therapists don't prescribe, so... how would this work??
This is just what happens when you let your dog eat briefcase spaghetti every day π
We're working through a book about healing dissociation
Avoided reading it all day to the point of staying awake till 7am
Read it just now. And you know what? I do feel a little bit lighter for that, it helped
Feels like no-one understands all the shit we've been through. No-one ever will understand. Only bits of it at a time, never the whole thing
I feel really fucking isolated tonight. I don't think anyone even knows half the shit from adulthood, the one who did ditched us because they were a bigot
We've been writing out our whole journey, since childhood, with psychiatrists and therapists. And fuck! It's been a lot
So many people failed us or abandoned us. Processing grief & feeling trapped, seeing our dissociation was not noticed
We never gave up we just keep going somehow
Oh for sure! I'm sure there is!
Sometimes inspiration just comes. I think Gerard Manley Hopkins wrote about this (TW: religion) www.poetryfoundation.org/articles/694...
"the poetry of inspiration can only be written in this mood of mind, even if it only last a minute"
Yeah for sure! Can't figure out how much is due to who is near front and how much is just normal creative cycle π€
I think we've had 10 therapists now, who I can actually remember?
That feels like a lot
From amazing graphic novel about being trans with DID - The Third Person by Emma Grove
Well, our system was the author! It was a collaborative work :) (assuming that's fine anyways!)
Original work, or is something we've already shared elsewhere okay?
So tired of how every year the months around September/October/November completely mess with our system
To the point that whoever's hosting has to live in fear they'll end up dormant or loose what makes them who they are. It's terrifying
