im cursed to be a rui/chu2/chisato/sakiko/soyo fan in a fanbase filled with people who do not see nuance or read between the lines for said characters even if the subtext is in bright neon glitter pen

it's one thing to dislike a character, but nowadays there is a need to justify this dislike / hate so people will find ways to make characters into villains 😭 but it 9 times out of 10 tends to be characters who are... emotional? at least in the bandori sense 😭

see this is such a crazy thing to me bc like, time and time again they TELL us there is no bad guy. they SHOW us there is no bad guy— yet people will still fight to prove to themselves there is one like???
