I wonder how effective improving these terms would actually be? Do women leave before having kids? Or do women leave after they have returned to work after mat leave because workload and family life is too much? Would that money be better spent supporting lower workload and more flexibility?

I had a projectile pooper. I swear it was almost every nappy change for the first 2 months. With hindsight, the distances he cleared were impressive.

The atheist English teacher at my Catholic school got great joy out of deciding the girls' class (the separation was an experiment to see if it impacted grades) would read Lord of the Flies.
I invited him to the cinema with some of my friends. They all got drunk the night before and were too hungover to go. I forced one friend (who didn't know him) to come so it didn't seem like I had lied about friends coming to trick him into a date. Our "chaperone" was in our wedding party.
My eldest was also born in a heatwave. We put a onesie on him and he turned bright red and SCREAMED! Then a nurse told us off for only having him in a nappy.

This was the exact kind of joy bringing beauty I needed last night.
I've had 2 students in the last 6 months involved in serious incidents on the road (both ok, minimal long term consequences). Am petrified about my boys being on the road (in a decade).
Similar applies for Canada. Pretty sure I only had one (born 89). GP surgery sorted me out with another. I expected them to want me to prove it, but as soon as I said I think I've only had one they booked me right in.
