I've been doing a lot of sketches this year, and it's freeing to be able to just pour my ideas or thoughts or emotions onto a canvas and not worry about needing to refine ideas further than the raw concept.
Every piece doesn't have to be finished, it can just be.

I bought 5 kilos of kiln dried builders sand from B&Q, it's the perfect size and cost less than 100g of fancy modelling sand.
I’m trying something different where each part is worked on one at a time and brought to almost a near final state, rather than painting similarly coloured parts simultaneously. Doing it this way I can bring everything to a high level, whereas before I might stop when it looked “good enough” #gunpla
