Oh no - I am so sorry
Listen. I am peri-menopausal, eternally angry, living through the end of the world, everybody is telling me to eat more protein (did you see the egg prices?) and that 🤣 is giving me joy! Do NOT take that away from me!
Woman wearing a gray T-shirt with a pink women’s rights symbol on front to signal fight the patriarchy
On Wednesdays* we fight the Patriarchy (I sewed a new shirt with a new transfer design).

It exists: It’s called Fastelavn in Denmark, Fasching in Germany
Older very dirty sewing machine
Older sewing machine, now clean
Part of old, very dirty sewing machine
Part of old sewing machine, now clean!
This old sewing machine was donated to me by a local lady and I just spent 10 minutes cleaning and oiling it and then I tested it. It’s sewing perfectly!
All of this to say you don’t need a new, expensive sewing machine to start sewing!
Just ask in your local buy nothing group!

And those who warned America about it were right.

Yesterday I made this - a hat for someone I am looking forward to knowing.
What are you making to stay sane these days?

Do you know what a Sewing Salon is?
For me, it’s a sewing group where you hang out on Wednesday evenings or on Saturdays and get expert guidance, plenty of inspiration and a lot of community and support for your sewing projects!

Hi! I am Maria from Sewing Life and I teach sewing and other textile arts online and in person in NJ/PA/NY
So Hi! New social platform people!
I sew, knit and crochet -and other textile arts 🧶🪡🧵- and teach it to both online (courses, patterns) and in person (mainly in NJ/ NY/PA) in the “let’s fight the patriarchy and be more sustainable” way - not in the “trad-wife” way!
