A really great actor! I love his Sulu in ST as well! I think he deserves to be in better films so here’s hoping his career keeps going in an upward trajectory.

If you can get the new Second Sight release then I highly recommend it. An amazing new transfer of the original tapes and 16mm film. The bonus disc is great too. All round just a great release!

He directed the awesome TBWP documentary on the new SS release as well which is really good and definitely worth a watch!

I remember watching Unfriended and not being impressed and Searching is the same laptop camera only idea so I slept on it for a while. If they’re found footage (like Host as well) then I’d definitely put Searching in there. John Cho is great in it!

…after TBWP which may always be the goat. I literally watched the new Blu-ray two days ago and it’s still as amazing as when it was released.

Is Searching considered found footage? I thought that film was executed extremely well. Cloverfield still probably my favourite found footage film though.

Apparently the film makers went back to the original tapes and started the transfer from scratch. Previous Blu-ray versions used a source with incorrect frame rates and other issues. It’s been said that this is the definitive version so regardless of how it looks, it’ll never look better.
