We demonstrated that CCL5-loaded hydrogels efficiently recruited AMD3100-mobilized MSCs to target, degenerative lumbar discs in rats. Additionally, we showed beneficial effects (individual and combined) of systemic AMD3100 and local CCL5 delivery on microCT and histology of degenerative discs.
