Under the criminal contempt of Congress statute (2 U.S.C. § 192), the maximum penalty for a conviction is a fine of up to $100,000 and imprisonment for up to 12 months. I will care about you bringing charges when the penalty is more than just words.

Strange how the so-called "Christian Right" feel like they hold the moral highground, but you go to a food bank or do a trash clean-up for Earth Day and most of us working there are liberals and progressives.
"Dude, really? You can NOT be serious right now. WTF is wrong with you?"
Has anyone ever calculated how much all these obviously bad lawsuits have cost taxpayers during the two Trump administrations?

"This is an important thing to think about."
Morning friends. There are still those amongst us that need to wake up.
I also feel like his image has been heavilly altered. I've never seen Trump looking like the grey-haired, healthy-skinned, normal-weight statesman depicted here.
I recommend checking Epstein Island.
Archaeologists in the Holy Land just uncovered a 3,000-year-old Israelite tablet…
It reads: “Iran is only weeks away from developing a nuclear weapon.”
Fight the spin.
This is a root problem: Republican spin paints Democrats as ultra-liberal failures when we routinely manage the country better by most measurements. Those measurements--charts, numbers, percentages, raw facts--need to be held up and shouted out every time a camera or microphone is turned toward us.
What if the town's most ignorant, arrogant family relied on you for everything? The clothes they wear, the food they eat, the cars they ride, the technology they have at home - all come from you. What would their life look like down the road if you were intent on having them destroy themselves?
Seriously, what is wrong with these people? I'd like to think it's our poor education system, but frankly I'm starting to think it's some sort of mass chemical imbalance. We have an epidemic of chronic obliviousness that's suspiciously focused on North America.
Everything is staged. Including his assignation attempt.
KERNEN: We'd never be able to send anyone back if you needed a judicial warrant every single time
RAND PAUL: Well, I don't think that's true. Obeying the 4th Amendment of the Constitution shouldn't be too difficult. It's something we fought the revolution over.
He is correct.
It is right-wing news saying one outlandish thing after another to get stoopid people to agree and educated to debate.
Causing debate and division.
"Left wing news" spends its time countering with overly polite reporting, not to offend right wingers.
One of the reasons we actually need "big government" is that people, when left to their own devices, will let their children die from Whooping Cough.
Vaccines, education standards, pollution regulations, consumer protections, food safety, disaster prevention: all these agencies destroyed by Trump.
When the new Pope publically declares that he "doesn't fear you", like you're a representative from The Valley of the Shadow of Death, I think we all know which side of Good vs Evil he thinks you're on.
...and he's right.
I support NASA wholeheartedly. I also think we don't promote science enough in the US. Now that that's out of the way, why did we just send four people to take pics of the moon from orbit? We didn't even try to land. Is this the level of "great accomplishment" we've regressed to now?
I don't get the all the negative hype surrounding datacenters. All issues seem like easy fixes: Build where it's not going to hurt anything. Cool using a recycling system. Have the company pay for their own electrical burden. Hire locally. Use the resulting local profits to invest in infrastructure
Hunh, it's almost like you're working *for* the people and the environment we all live in rather than against them. Weird these days.
Really good tree. I have a Bob Ross painting kit with a bunch of stuff but haven't tried it yet.
GAME CHANGER: Montana just found the "exit ramp" to kill Citizens United. They aren't waiting for the Supreme Court—they’re going around them. 74% of voters are on board and corporate lawyers are PANICKING. This is how we win. 🏔️💸 www.dworkinsubstack.com/p/army-secre...
Hey. Your cat got on the laptop again.
"Democrats grow bolder." Huh. That's rich. Millions picketing in the streets and apnews wants us to believe that the optics from a Trumptweet is going to change things? Right.
Yeah no. Chinese EVs are truely awesome, and battery tech is advancing, but we have a lot further to go before we have fast charging+range+longevity. One or more is being sacrificed here.
10 years? Trump has been an obvious American crime lord since the 1980s. For over four decades, people. Crime lords don't need to be all that smart, they just need to be a member of the syndicate, utterly ruthless, and have a few loyal capos under them. This defines the Trump administration.
I've sat on the lawn in front of the Painted Ladies several times. Nice spot.
Tinfoil hat time: Trump is and always has been an American crime lord. His ties to organized crime, underage sex trafficking, and traitorous influence under dictators and global crime organizations goes back decades. And he is not alone. Local and national leaders have been corrupted just as well.
