One of my favorite artists opened up commissions one day after I hit my spending limit for the month, I’m so sad I’ve been waiting months. Part of me hopes she’ll keep them open so I can get one later, but a bigger part of me really hopes she fills all her slots because she deserves it so much

I started working on this late at night and didn’t remember my computer was in night mode, so they came out more blue than intended! I still don’t think the shading is perfect, but I’m very happy with it overall! I was inspired by the line in Order’s profile that says their wings can be used as arms

For more on his clothes, I’d imagine he keeps a variety of uniforms for different purposes, so I’ll probably be making more outfits for him in the future! I have plans to try styling him in a classic DollDivine uniform one day :)

Since I made the outfit over the base, the doll is fairly accurate to how I see his usual clothes. He likes deep teal and blues, going for practicality over fashion. The badge on his right arm and left pocket is the USEA logo, and the other badges are for rank and personal accomplishments.

Enrico is the previous form of Aurelio. He has light tan skin, and wavy brown hair that curled slightly around his ears. His eyes were originally brown, but turned golden over time. As a researcher for the USEA, he wears a uniform most of the time.

They are part of Auspice’s world of Ideation. The doll crashed before I could finish the background, so you can just have them floating in space. They research the stars, so their clothes were primarily inspired by Star Trek uniforms.

This doll was so much fun to make! I chose Merfolk instead of Neptune’s Daughter for the pastel colors, which worked well! I struggled a lot with layering, as well as hands and feet. I am most pleased with the dress and hair. Hair has never been my strong suit but I think it turned out great!

So it turns out the difficult part isn’t convincing people that its art, it’s that it’s so different than most other digital arts that comparisons are useless, and they have no reference for the time and effort it takes to make a piece. It’s the skill set that doesn’t translate, not the art itself

DollDivine, Meiker, and similar sites are fantastic! Not only can you make your ocs, you can make your own dress-up games as well! Meiker especially makes it so easy. I’ll never stop advocating for these wonderful sites and the people who keep them alive <3

As soon as I saw the original dtiys art, I immediately knew I wanted to try making it on Urban Chic! Which proved to be very much a challenge, as it’s not a maker I have used often in the past. The clouds were especially tricky, but thankfully the repo wasn’t! I’m pretty proud of this :)
