If there was any 3-spot for Hoffman, it would be 7-8-9. And he gave himself that. And it worked out perfectly.

Ok, after Saturday, I really need to be 1 for 6 in Ontario team triple-header records. Come on, Jays!
The social media English, or the Hoffman 2026 ERA of 7.71 vs the Cease ERA in post-season (quite possibly worn down from inefficient regular season outings) of 8.73?
And so many caveats, but Hoffman's ERA we are all afraid of is multiple runs better than Cease's post-inefficient-regular-season post-season ERA. I have to distract myself from the current present, even with hopeful trends.
Yeah, sometimes I like having fun. I'd bet odds of a starter turned reliever in history are pretty solidly on the side of "plays up", let alone when you're no longer told to try and keep the pitch count down but the runner count. If my memory isn't fooling I remember dreading Miller by the 5th.
16-17 outs a start. No I wouldn't seek the trade. But, with 8 starters (when healthy, which we won't see this season), yeah I fantasize. Was it 2016 Cleveland's Andrew Miller who was a beast out of the bullpen they would throw out for at least one, sometimes two, maybe even three clean innings?
How valued would a 20.25 K/9IP closer be? No this won't happen but also.
Conservatives wrongly assert government gets in the way of things individuals should do (I am not a doctor/teacher/soldier, nor could I be all). It's private business that most often seeks to create friction we pay them to bypass, everything from arbitrage to surveillance pricing to filing taxes.
It astounds me how we choose to hurt our stated values. We say we want fewer sexual assaults but defund things enabling this. Want to end homelessness but spend more to criminalize it than eliminating it would cost. Want to reduce harm to/from drug users, but defund Safe Consumption Sites doing so.
My different view than the former councillor's:
Vibrant park, school, library, amenity-filled neighbourhoods?
People not needing to drive a Spadina Expressway to access Toronto?
Communities hosting diverse incomes?
St. Lawrence's many amenities?
They're all enabled by density that mayor resisted.
Screenshot of the Toronto Sun, showing a Brian Lilley column: "Ford caves to mob driven by petty jealousy, sells jet."
Because it gives you a leg up on the others in the comedy biz? Funny, but the headline just doesn't slap the same on Monday, no?
'Old' show watch: folk'll focus on A Handmaid's Tale's initial setting when watching but I'd encourage the flashbacks. Mass demonization of others. Clampdown on academics. Penstroke status removal. ICE behind security at airports deciding who boards. Journalism 'eliminated'. That &more in just S2E2
Well, I stuck out three Ontario pro sports teams today. 0-3. Maybe I should have picked TFC for the draw? Ouch.
Perfect timing for the AdP albums to run out, as the tension has as well, like a balloon that just couldn't get tied up. Hoffman, I really am rooting for you to find the stuff again.
And in the movie adaptation of this obvious come from behind epic season to be, Rogers will be played by Garrett Dillahunt. I will be taking no questions about this casting.
If you think listening to Angine de Poitrine alongside the Sportsnet broadcast is just completely unorthodox, have I got a pitcher pairing for you in Tyler Rogers.
And see? That earlier first bag fair to foul territory tease was just that, lulling them into a false sense of security that Lukes and Giménez couldn't sync up the snare at second.
But seriously you could NOT have timed the end of Vol.1 and start of Vol.2 better than that wild Okamoto at bat, run scoring double, and starting-pitcher knocking-out. It's the stories we tell ourselves.
I paused AdP and Sportsnet went to commercial too soon, and out 3 is overturned, thise video reviews a wild ride. As is this endlessly-apt tense music. Much cheaper to listen here like this, though, than the $600 resale tickets for their tour at Mod Club...
I think the back corner of first base was just lonely. No one ever steps there. The balls don't even hit there. So just this once, this one did. Sweet. Though the go-ahead D-backs run, less sweet. AdP still holding up.
The tension of Tamebsz was fitting for a helmet-doffing no out hit, that promptly became a strikeout caught stealing out (with extra mustard from the Gurriel Jr. post-strikeout interference on Heineman). Do I now need a mood music Jays game soundtrack? I'm not saying no..
Ok, weirdly also working for the hitting, but for a guy who sees what a Barger arm can do, and plays with Gurriel Jr.'s former teammates, trying to stretch that single into a double... well Sportsnet and I can differ as to strategy.
Clearly, this is working for the fielding and pitching. Also, hitting pause during commercial breaks helps manage the heartrate.
This idea is either a very good idea or a recipe for anxiety and heart palpitations. I intend to find out.
Ontario pro teams are 0-2 today, Jays are in an injury-riddled slump, tie game, so there's no shortage of tension. But, for good Canadiana measure, a bonus bit comes from playing Angor (and other) Angine de Poitrine just a bit above softly. I swear Shulman and Siddall sound even more ominous.
They could maybe borrow Doug's gravy plane while he's likely to be too busy defending it to fly it, and visit such international pedestrian orienting reworks and full pedestrianization of places like... Kitchener and Waterloo. I suspect @chanface.bsky.social may be trying to one-up them on Church.
I have wondered if it was my radicalizing youth movie, and yet even without the moneyed interest angle, it's strong enough alone on the kind of places you lose when you go autotopia. Everywhere I've lived as an adult, visited as an adult, has been enjoyed most when in those mixed-use walkable spots.
And you've even got a proposal for a more pronounced landing strip to really bring it all together ;P
Actually a surprisingly good bunch of ideas! Maybe one leadoff idea that's horrendous, one unsurprising proposal that amounts to harshen laws & punishment for others but the opposite for me, & a very suburban-appropriate vibes-only one, but the good ideas? Aplenty, as surprising as their champions
The thing about accumulating jerseys and hats and such, is that like an extra clever password... you forget the winning combination sometimes.
