First day back at work was surprisingly good.
Second day back and for no good reason I am down in the dumps.

I had an odd realisation that I have never wondered about this - about how a helicopter controls rotation.
My whole life, helicopters were doing that big nosedivey swoopy move, and I never wondered "where is the force coming from to tilt the like that?". I accepted it could just magically rotate?
I feel simultaneously stupid for never connecting this, and smart for realizing this on myself but, the way helicopters pitch and roll is to tilt their blades with respect to the front of the helicopter. I. E. The angle of the blades isn't purely how much thrust there is

I've had high expectations for myself all my life and it has never occurred to me that they're always unrealistic. I am disappointed even when I have some success. Wish I could change. Have tried. Doesn't shift my attitude.

I like the new train route but... I got home on my ebike within 40 minutes (was listening to Armando Iannucci podcast which was that length).
The train + bus route is more like an hour door to door.
