Because I really hate that (it can be done well, but usually requires a less close POV than most books are nowadays/I prefer to read), and I want a way to describe it in fewer words. #booksky
Is there a trope name for the thing where you’re in someone’s POV and they learn, discover, remember, or think of something and it’s all “aha, I had solved the problem” but you as a reader don’t get to find out what the solution is even though by the rules of POV you should? #booksky
Oh heck yeah
Katie, on the other hand, knows facts and can accurately answer factual questions.
Hey, if we Kaitlyns, Caitlins, Katelyns, Kaitlins, Caitlyns, Catelyns, and Katelynns can handle it, so can they.
ALANNA THE LIONESS Book #1 comes out today, and I cannot express how blessed I feel to be on this team.
@sambeckdraws.bsky.social is a damn rockstar, being her collaborator is such a thrill!
Josh Reed's letters are perfection!
Andrea Miller's design of the book is what dreams are made of!

Is this a sign that I need to reread Sabriel? I think it’s a sign.
Today’s Little Free Library haul!
THIS IS HUGE! Researchers at McMaster University have discovered a NEW peptide antibiotic that targets a broad range of disease-causing bacteria INCLUDING those RESISTANT to existing antibiotics. This discovery marks the first potential new class of antibiotics in NEARLY 30 YEARS. 🧪🧵⬇️
I guess the NYT is off my list of potential news sources to support. If anyone has a suggestion for a solid publication with in-depth reporting that acknowledges the humanity of trans people, I’m interested.
Either transgender Americans are important enough to warrant year after year of breathless coverage questioning their healthcare and existence, or they're so insignificant that destroying their rights is the "least consequential" action of a presidency. www.readtpa.com/p/not-exactl...
Sounds like Trump could actually do something about egg prices, and is choosing not to.
🤮
GOOD NEWS ALERT!
I am so excited to tell you all that the Fashion Act has been introduced in California!
We have been working in NY for more than a year to make this happen. Adding CA to the list is a big win
I wish more people were talking about egg prices as less of a “muh egg prices!” thing and more about the fact that there is an organized egg cartel that is illegally price gouging and almost certainly illegally price fixing and reaping massive, gigantic profits.
Stunning. I love knitting lace but I don’t think I could do it in the train. I’m impressed!
a poorly drawn cat with a neutral expression. the cat is standing next to a speech bubble that says: "listen to your body!". below the cat, the word "ok" is written in small letters
the poorly drawn cat is now lying in bed, tucked under a blanket!
the problem with the “listen to your body” thing is that mine is always telling me it’s the perfect time to get cozy in bed 😔
People vehemently believe that there are safety nets in place if you become disabled. That no matter what, you have all of your needs met. If you believe this, you’re in for a rude awakening if you ever become disabled.
"A new generation of young women garment workers are organizing across factories and borders. They are even building relationships with women workers in the US. The fashion industry has no idea what's coming."
Marmee. Thanks, autocorrect.
