Characterization consistency is clearly the last thing JG cares about. He’ll write anybody out of character just to tell whatever story he wants. He wants round three of teasing Tessa with a guy, welp that means Mariah’s gotta go directly under the bus and gay doesn’t mean gay anymore. It’s absurd.

Whether something happens or not (really hoping not), I’ve made my peace with it. The whole damn show is trash at this point so why would this be any different. Im just goons bide my time til Joe Shelby gets his walking papers. Then I’ll consider re-engaging.

So the message I'm getting is JG could've written Tessa as an independent character with her own group of friends all along but decided to be an asshole and isolate her for years and have her offscreen for months at a time. Interesting.
