Humans saw animals and thought "let's kill them" π

That's the main reason why I won't go vegan. It makes total sense, don't fight me!
I totally agree!
Hey, good to see you here! π
And yes, you basically have to google "is [insert whatever] vegan" and prepare to be shocked when it's not π«
It's baffling that people question how plants turn into burgers but don't stop to think about how animals do.
It's education. Many people claim to be vegans when they're in fact plant-based, or are new to veganism and don't know about a lot of instances where animal abuse is present.
Now do the honey vegans π
Just because a dairy cow lives in a field doesnβt mean her life is cruelty free. She still has her babies take and will be sent to slaughter at 5-6 when her production drops. Cows naturally live about 20 years.
Choose #vegan over cruelty :

Haha! Lucky's you π
Yes, they're few and far between, and once you add any other criteria aside from him being vegan, it's almost impossible to find a match
Trying to mix things up to meet a vegan man, so I went out to a vegan restaurant downtown alone, and it's just a bunch of us vegan women, alone π #fail

Imagine a π where #dogs were suffering in unimaginable numbers behind closed doorsβ¦sexually violated, mutilated & killed for needless ends
Imagine the collective outrage
Now imagine the same happening to chickens ducks cows pigs sheep
Now imagine that same outrage - only directed towards vegans π£
A young female cow with her lowered head between the metal bars of the enclosure where she is imprisoned bellows in pain and anguish after being kicked by a dairy farm worker.
We are not voiceless. We speak, we scream, we give very clear indications of our wishes & interests. You just prefer not to hear us or ignore us because you are the reason for our pain, anguish & suffering. We are political animals. We will be heard.
We are #OneBillionScreams
Exactly this. They don't care about animals or humans, just about shitting on vegans. I can't even begin to imagine what slaughterhouse workers deal with on a daily basis and likely for the rest of their lives, and all that, because people want to eat dead animals.
All the while itβs slaughterhouse workers that experience high rates of PTSD/PITS, domestic violence, alcohol and drug abuse, etc.
Not only do some care less about animals than they do their taste pleasure, but they care less about their fellow humans. The ultimate in selfishness.
For real. In my 8.5 years of vegan activism, I've heard countless times about the women who peel cashews, the immigrant workers in fields, etc, but the only people who ever advocate for slaughterhouse workers are vegans.
The typical playbook for anti-vegans:
Advocate for ALL workers in agriculture EXCEPT slaughterhouse workers π
When a vegan asks you to make the connection and go vegan, itβs because we believe youβre capable of compassion and critical thinking. Take it as a compliment - ditch cowβs milk, stop eating babies, and prove us right.
Thank you so much for sharing! π
I need your help! π±

A Facebook memory from 9 years ago, with an image of a cute white puppy and the caption "If you ever hurt a dog, or any other animal, our friendship will be over. No exceptions!".
99% of you are already vegan but you don't know it yet.
9 years ago, I wasn't vegan.
I posted this on Facebook.
6 months later, I fully understood it and became vegan.
I now respect all animals. No exceptions!

People know what plant-based milk is. Theyβre buying it on purpose. The only confusion here is why an industry built on animal use thinks it deserves exclusive rights to a word.
Meme Carnists be like: 80+ billion land animals slaughtered each year | photo of a man looking calm 1 dog kicked in public | series of 3 photos showing man in various stages of being distraught
This level of cognitive dissonance is inexcusable this point. We can do better.

Remind me again of how veganism is like a cult? π€
For real! What's sad is that it also comes from a place of pure ignorance with zero efforts to find the truth. Just parroting the bs they heard.
THIS!! It always cracks me up when I hear the soy propaganda because some cultures have eaten it for thousands of years and yet, they're among the healthiest populations. And no man boobs, go figure!
Yes, exactly! Everyone reacts to a different approach so all of them are valid ultimately π
Omg, was I? I guess I'm quite blunt when it comes to that π
And so glad to hear that your partner is on their was as well! π Tell them that baby steps are for babies and to go vegan already π
Thank you for your service Sherry π«‘π
