"I don't think it takes a genius to figure out that the kid has tremendous anticipation and touch and a strong arm," he said.
When asked how he feels about the first College Football Playoff rankings of the 2025 season being released tonight, Ryan Day responded, "Whatever."
"What does it matter if we don't win this Saturday? But I get it — it's good for the fans, good for the sport."

"He's made some tremendous throws, made good decisions, taken care of the football," Day said. "It's clear to see that he is now playing at a level we can reach our goals with. That's exciting for everybody."
Ryan Day said what matters for Ohio State is winning games, not individual awards:
"Just win the game. That's it," he said. "If individual honors show up at the end of the season, they do, but that's not the No. 1 goal. That's part of the unselfishness of all of this."
