Also essentially the argument of the Reformation itself.
The Mariners are now 4-0 since the Ichiro statue’s bat broke
The lesson for us here in the US is that we need to run a candidate named John America.
I mean a lot of us just… live here. This is where our families are, our communities, where we’re raising our kids. Moving to another country can be expensive and stressful and isolating in the best of times. We all have lives and contexts alongside our work in climate or environment.

I can't stop laughing at this post. It's perfect.

Survey on attitudes towards AI. 100-level college class, n=44, January 2026
I wouldn’t say I’m a luddite, but, even working in IT, I struggle to find a use-case in which AI performs adequately.
And, remember kids, it’s a *terrible* search engine
I know I don't understand the world we live in anymore when the hardline right-wing Iranian government (or whoever is putting these out) can follow up a near-Armageddon staredown by deciding "OK Trump is Drake and we are now Kendrick Lamar"
Also, “oll”
You can tell she’s getting awnry about it.
Voter 242. Go vote for Chris Taylor, Wisconsin.
“…the researchers argue that AI systems have given rise to a categorically different form of “cognitive surrender” in which users provide “minimal internal engagement” and accept an AI’s reasoning wholesale without oversight or verification.”
I’ve never written anything using AI, I never will, and I have zero respect for any professional who does.
The whole report by Ember is required reading for energy investors, but this graph stood out - once the top line drops into the fossil range, you pay more upfront to also pay more later for LNG, etc. Nobody will do that.
"once the top line drops into the fossil range, you pay more upfront to also pay more later for LNG, etc. Nobody will do that"
Exactly.
What if we just went back to reading a bunch of books and thinking about them together, and that was the class? With syllabi no longer than three pages.
Pope is welcome in my Stuart Hall reading group
This is all reminding me of a conversation I had recently with an old friend who works in tech and extremely gung-ho about AI. When I told him about my process for writing a long New Yorker piece, he was absolutely sure that AI could make it more "efficient." / www.theguardian.com/books/2026/m...
"You're absolutely right, the pod bay doors don't seem to have opened—good catch!"
Dude it's March.
I prefer to think of this like the Seahawks in Week 1 -- nobody has tape on anybody, coaches are figuring out who is good this year. Riq may be a problem, special teams are cooking, better capitalize on turnovers.
I love those ice creams! But on OP’s topic of unexpected dessert ingredients, most white ppl aren’t ready for halo halo or ais kacing!
I do not regret to inform you about Filipino ice cream
The semantic evolution of "wetland":
Pre-1945: saturated agricultural soils used to produce taro, salt hay, and sometimes (as here) saturated soils drained for ag use.
Post-1945: a natural place with standing water or saturated soils, a less-pejorative term for "swamp"

But as Trump goes, isn’t this almost normal order? The God Squad has been around since 1978, and used plenty of times. It might be more surprising that he bothers to convene it at all and seek a Section 7 exemption.
