Another round of war with Iran would mean regional escalation, more instability, and countless civilian lives at risk – in Iran, in Israel and across the Middle East, putting U.S. service members at risk with no clear strategy and no real benefit for the United States. 2/2

This isn’t an isolated tragedy; it’s the daily brutality of life under occupation, where Israeli authorities have left settler violence unchecked and unpunished.
We know this to be true: Accountability can’t be optional, and safety can’t depend on who you are. 3/3
Justice would be that 14-year-old Aws al-Naasan and 32-year-old Jihad Abu Naim were still alive today. Their families will never get that – and under these conditions of constant settler terror attacks, they won’t get peace of mind either. 2/3
A child was shot dead near school. Communities are living in fear that settlers can return at any moment. Villages are surrounded by outposts and violent extremists hellbent on forcing Palestinians off their land at any cost. 1/3
Accountability and honesty about the actions of the Israeli government and military are essential to any future grounded in justice, security and dignity for all.
J Street will keep pushing for that future. 2/2
A necessary, painful read. This isn’t just about “moral injury” – it’s also about what’s being done to Palestinians, and the systems that enable it. 1/2
When conspiracies get a million views, that matters.
Tucker Carlson is taking classic antisemitic conspiracies and updating them for a new audience, swapping language to fit the times but keeping the same dangerous, bigoted core.
40 Democrats voted last week to block 1,000-pound bombs and bulldozers to Israel.
Not because they oppose Israel, but because they see what @JeremyBenAmi lays out clearly: Decades of denying Palestinians freedom and self-determination is a grave injustice.
J Street President @JeremyBenAmi sat down with @NYMag to talk about a real shift underway: The era of a blank check support for Israel is over.
Treating Israel like any other close ally, with support AND accountability, is how we protect the relationship. Read more about what Jeremy had to share:
Democratic voters are demanding a new approach on Israel, and elected officials are responding.
J Street has long argued the same: We want a strong US-Israel relationship, but that doesn’t mean unconditional support for occupation.

When extremists shape policy and institutions enable impunity, violence isn’t incidental, it’s inevitable.
The result: Displaced Palestinians, weakened Israeli democracy and a mutual self-determination slipping further out of reach.

The line between state forces and settlers is increasingly blurred.
More than 5,500 settler reservists now serve in regional IDF defense battalions, armed and deployed in the very areas where settler attacks occur. 7/8
David Zini, head of the Shin Bet, comes from the same ideological wing as Smotrich and Ben-Gvir – raising concerns about whether institutions tasked with preventing extremism can act impartially. 6/8
Maj. Gen. Avi Bluth, head of the IDF’s Central Command, has reportedly supported mechanisms that assist settlers in establishing outposts – often the launching pads for violence against nearby Palestinian communities. 5/8
He also spearheaded a government program distributing weapons to West Bank settlers.
Recently, he was filmed toasting champagne after the passage of a death penalty law that would only apply to Palestinians. 4/8
Itamar Ben-Gvir, the National Security Minister who controls the police force, is a convicted supporter of Jewish terrorism. Ben-Gvir has reportedly directed the police force, which is responsible for dealing with Jewish terrorists, not to arrest or investigate violent settlers. 3/8
Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, a settler himself and the minister overseeing the West Bank, has been explicit: “We will apply sovereignty over the West Bank, initially through actions on the ground and subsequently through legislation and formal recognition.” 2/8
Settler violence in the West Bank is all part of Israeli state policy.
Backed by far-right leaders, it’s part of a systematic effort to displace Palestinians and entrench permanent occupation. Who are the main characters at play? 🧵1/8
Congratulations to Analilia Mejia on her victory in NJ-11.
Her leadership reflects a commitment to dignity, democracy and rejecting hate in all its forms. We look forward to working together in Congress 💪
Grief doesn’t belong to one side. Next Monday, Israelis and Palestinians will come together to mourn and honor the sanctity of every life.

That image says everything about the inhumanity of occupation. 2/2
The settlement of Carmel put up a barbed wire fence, which has prevented Palestinian children from getting to school.
The kids responded by bringing their books to the rocks beside the fence, reading and playing where they were told they could not pass. 1/2
🗓️ MARK YOUR CALENDARS: As ICE destroys more lives, Jewish tradition calls us to sound the alarm against injustice.
On April 30, Jews are coming together to reject ICE’s cruelty and violence when we gather
in cities across the country. Full list of actions: truah.org/events/jews-...
A ceasefire in Lebanon is welcome news. Now comes the hard part: Turning this pause into a lasting political solution. It’s time for serious diplomacy, not more indefinite war.

A major Hebrew-language publication calls settler violence “blue and white ethnic cleansing.” One of the grave horrors of the occupation is the dangerous disconnect many Israelis have to terror unfolding just miles away, on the land they share.
🔴 A record number of Democratic Senators voted to block 2 arms sales to Israel – an unmistakable sign of shifting views in Washington. As @JeremyBenAmi shared, unconditional U.S. military support is no longer tenable in the age of Netanyahu’s destruction. 1/2
