I designed a 65+ page magazine called Search Party based out of STL.

It highlights artists in the city but most importantly it gives infrastructure to the community.

It’s a hard life but it’s worth it. A lot of artists hate the business side but it can be fun if you’re willing to look the necessary evils right in the eye

I’d argue most of us on this thread understand it or at least see that this is painful to look at

I’d say we gotta stop doing this right here exactly but there are so many of us at the mercy of business and perspective with creative not the focal point

Released STOP ASSUMING THE FUTURE this month

And just like the release before it

I had an infinite amount of “what if’s”

But the building block of the last release helped me rediscover the confidence that comes with putting things out

I put aside a few things when making this too:

- lack of resources
- lack of outside belief
- lack of momentum

All those things happened for me once I released.

Had to quit asking “what if” and just did it

Released an EP called UNC JAMZ two months ago.

I didn’t know it at the time but it would soon become one of my favorite releases ever because I pushed myself sonically and lyrically.

Research and Study

Had to relearn how to release.

And even on this level it’s starting to reveal a motif of simply following through and things happen in your favor.
