MUTV recently had the chance to record Dubhán O’Longain reciting his poem “Inár nDiaidh” ☘️

The poem was written using statistics gathered about the use of Irish on our campus. Recently Dubhán recited the poem for President Connolly’s visit to the university to launch “Ár gCampas, Ár dTeanga”!

This evening, my brilliant friend @sallyhayd.bsky.social spoke at @maynoothuniversity.ie about her recent reporting from Lebanon & beyond. We were moved by her insightful & powerful account of recent events. I was also fortunate to receive a copy of her forthcoming book: This is also a Love Story.

An intricate medieval engraving depicting a feast scene. Several figures in fur-trimmed garments sit around a long table set with empty plates and a tankard. One person gestures animatedly, and another plays a harp. In the foreground, a dog sniffs the ground near a roasting spit over a fire. The background shows people cutting meat, implying a lively banquet atmosphere.
