Come to read about PG&E's disingenuous attempt to pull back from a zonal electrification project in Monterey. Stay for the pic of me in my kitchen :) But srsly, @californiapuc.bsky.social should require PG&E to move forward with at least some project phases, which saves $$ and gets us off gas.
The whole progressive community -- no matter what their subject matter focus happens to be -- should speak out against the anti-transgender executive order. Environmentalists. Labor. Consumer rights. Everyone.
BREAKING we're taking @airresources.bsky.social to court on behalf of Communities for a Better Environment over the broken Low Carbon Fuel Standard, which would waste billions on polluting biofuels instead of accelerating California's transition to EVs and cleaner air.
A really cool community solar pilot, although relying on hospitals to have good will doesn’t seem like a scalable solution to meet electricity needs for critical medical devices #energysky www.npr.org/sections/sho...
I’ll note I used to eat a lot of Boichik bagels. Then they followed up on the awful SCOTUS Grants Pass decision (allowing the criminalization of homelessness) by suing the city of Berkeley to clear more encampments without new shelter alternatives
fascinating read on what people will or won’t give up to act on climate— as Boichik Bagels owner noted, the measure wouldn’t have threatened to put them under, but it *might* have stopped them from opening a tenth store in five years and expanding to LA.
