Béatrice Fervers (Unicancer, France) highlighted the synergy between JANE-2 and EUnetCCC, showing how activities in personalised prevention complement the work on integrating prevention into Comprehensive Cancer Centres.
🤝 Together, JANE-2 and EUnetCCC are building a European ecosystem where prevention, early detection, and care are seamlessly connected — turning knowledge into measurable, equitable impact for people and populations across Europe.
Day 2 featured contributions from Per Magnus Mæhle, Susanne Pinnock, and Marc Van den Bulcke — sharing lessons on governance, collaboration, sustainability, and data frameworks that support prevention and strengthen the European CCC network.
🎙️During day 1 the session “Joining Forces for Early Detection”, moderated by Dr Delia Nicoară (IOCN), featured JANE-2 WP8 speakers: Prof. Stefania Boccia, Béatrice Fervers, Suzette Delaloge, and Hélène Antoine-Poirel — highlighting risk-based screening and equitable prevention.
Throughout the event, JANE-2 members contributed to high-level discussions on integrating prevention and early detection into Comprehensive Cancer Centres — showing how research, policy, and healthcare practice converge for a person-centred approach.

The session “Joining Forces for Early Detection: Synergies to Scale-Up Prevention and Screening Efforts Across Europe”, moderated by Dr Delia Nicoară (IOCN, Romania), brought together leading experts from JANE-2, Unicancer, Gustave Roussy, and PreventNCD.
On 6 November, experts, policymakers, and representatives of EU-funded initiatives met in Paris La Défense for the EUnetCCC Annual Meeting — a milestone for Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan and the creation of the European Network of Comprehensive Cancer Centres (CCCs).

Tools like CanRisk (www.canrisk.org) illustrate how this vision can help healthcare professionals estimate a woman’s risk of developing breast cancer based on family history, genetic, and non-genetic factors—enabling informed prevention decisions that reflect each woman’s unique risk profile.
