Reminder that everything you post can be seen by law enforcement.

Be smart, especially now, and don't snitch on yourself. Posting specifics about actions or promoting violence on social media is just a bad idea. There's a reason organizers and activists use Signal. You can't resist from a cage.

NEW: The militarization of American cities isn’t happening with a parade of tanks. It’s a slow drip of troop deployments that are probing courts’ willingness to give unlimited deference to the commander in chief — and testing workarounds when they don’t.

People really have no idea how violent, cruel, and intentionally torturous American jails and prisons are.

And most people in American jails have never been convicted of a crime.

Trump’s Immigration Push Diverts U.S. Agents From Drug, Money and Sex-Crime Cases Federal investigators are resigning, and morale is low, as they juggle complex cases and detain migrants.

“A federal team in El Paso that once pursued child traffickers has been disbanded.

“A task force in Kansas focused on stemming fentanyl has been redirected.

“Highway checkpoints near the border—on roads identified as major drug-trafficking routes—have gone unstaffed”

Another effort to track ICE raids was just taken offline People over Papers was removed by Padlet, the platform it was built on, yesterday.

Identifying public officials isn't "doxing." People have the right to know who is working for their government. Nor, for that matter, is it "radical left-wing terrorism." So it's frustrating to see platforms caving to these bad faith characterizations. www.technologyreview.com/2025/10/06/1...

Please, just stop sending me AI videos of Dad. Stop believing I wanna see it or that I'll understand, I don't and I won't. If you're just trying to troll me, I've seen way worse, i'll restrict and move on. But please, if you've got any decency, just stop doing this to him and to me, to everyone even, full stop. It's dumb, it's a waste of time and energy, and believe me, it's NOT what he'd want.
To watch the legacies of real people be condensed down to 'this vaguely looks and sounds like them so that's enough,
, just so
other people can churn out horrible TikTok slop puppeteering them is maddening. You're not making art, you're making disgusting, over-processed hotdogs out of the lives of human beings, out of the history of art and music, and then shoving them down someone else's throat hoping they'll give you a little thumbs up and like it.
Gross.

And for the love of EVERYTHING, stop calling it 'the future. Al is just badly recycling and regurgitating the past to be reconsumed. You are taking in the Human Centipede of content, and from the very very end of the line, all while the folks at the front laugh and laugh, consume and consume.

ICE agents are reportedly creeping around high schools in Chicago. And because they are wearing masks, often not wearing uniforms and using unmarked vehicles this means that ANYONE could show up dressed like this and disappear kids off the streets. This is especially dangerous

"Google told 404 Media it removed apps because they shared the location of what it describes as a vulnerable group."

Patriot Front is a neo fascist white supremacist cult staging paramilitary style marches. They were arrested en masse in Idaho while plotting a violent riot at Pride. They are organized and openly violent. They are not designated a terrorist organization.

Millions of people boycotting & speaking out in unison put Jimmy Kimmel back on the air.

Let’s not forget he’s not the only victim of fascism.

For every Kimmel there’s hundreds more who’ve been silenced for their views that we may never hear of.

Fight for them.

US farmers are saying they "just need temporary help, until things get better."

Here's the thing. US farm exports- which are mostly soy- CANNOT get better.

Other countries expanded their soy industries to fill China's demand.

We've walled ourselves out of the global market, folks. This is it.

the "who will the public blame for the shutdown?" handwringing is asinine. the vast majority of voters have no idea how government shutdowns work, and by the time midterms roll around they won't remember anything that didn't impact them directly

People of Illinois, we need your help.

Get your cell phones out – record what you see. Put it on social media. Peacefully ask for badge numbers and identification. Speak up for your neighbors.

We need to let the world know this is happening – and that we won’t stand for it.

It’s official: AIPAC is trying to buy my election to keep me out of Congress.

Apparently, I’m a “dangerous detractor”... by believing Palestinians (like myself and my family) deserve basic human rights.

But we’re not going to let AIPAC win.

"You can help humanize us and make us less abstract in the eyes of others. That's invaluable. But don't let it stop there. ... We're so limited in here. You help us overcome those limits. You can be the voice that soothes us, or the ear that allows us to vent, rant, or cry. Mostly, just care."

Early last semester, Droubi said, students began approaching Cheyfitz with complaints that a graduate student in the “Gaza, Indigeneity, Resistance” class appeared to be recording them, possibly to “gather their names and comments” and intimidate them. “We believe that a student came to the course for the sole reason of surveilling and potentially harming students in the class,” Droubi said. “That ended up proving itself to be true because multiple students came forward and shared their concerns with Professor Cheyfitz.” Cheyfitz said one Palestinian student quit the class after telling him she felt upset and frightened.

According to Cheyfitz, the graduate student often steered conversations away from the assigned readings—which at that point mostly focused on definitions of genocide and international law on Indigenous rights—to defend Israel’s conduct in the war in Gaza and argue with others in the class. “He clearly had not done the readings,” Cheyfitz said. “It was disruptive.”

Cheyfitz said he met with the graduate student in late January and spoke to him about concerns from his classmates. During the conversation, he asked the graduate student to drop the course, and by the next class, he did, Cheyfitz said. The graduate student, Oren Renard, a PhD candidate in computer science whose identity was confirmed by other students in the class, previously served in Israel’s elite military surveillance agency, Unit 8200, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Cornell is cancelling a distinguished professor's classes on Gaza and suspending him because of the complaints of a student who previously served in Israel's military surveillance agency and was literally recording the comments of other students in class and deliberately derailing discussion.
